The pod did great bringing jt. It gave her a chance to show her personality and work ethics. She’s so humble yet confident. I like that she did a project paying homage to the early 2000s and putting jeezy on her remix so it’s definitely pulling in the generation right before hers and gained that fan base including her generation, smart move. I love that they focused on her and her project and not the city girls breakup. Bringing it full circle from the time Joe got into it with migos, qc p is behind migos and still is behind jt’s rebrand. I love this for her, I want her to win so bad. She deserves it❤
As far as Melyssa is concerned, I feel like she has shut down participation wise and tries her best to avoid getting fired on. It's evident because when she says something a lot of time, some shade or slick comment follows particularly from Joe. With that said, Mel needs to have some moments of internal reflection. She needs to decide whether she is going to piss or get off the pot. She can't keep letting these dudes back her into a corner and shut her down each and every time. See the way JT handled the guys and politely returned fire when needed. Mel needs to have that energy. She needs to quit trying to put on this perfect persona. Be real about things but also return smoke with these guys. Hurt their feelings a few times, and they will stop.
i agree with you, but I also think that she has a lot of anxiety from trauma from working in the industry that she hasn't dealt with. AND I think that the way they handle her, sometimes, she cowers and gets tongue tied. She doesn't know how to jones back on them niggas. It makes a world of difference JT being solo. There were rarely any interviews the City Girls did where either one of their energies were off or both, and never have I seen JT smiling this much and as open as she was here and on other recent interviews.
