This album is amazing, in my opinion "Face to Face" hits different than everything else, but all songs in this album are great
It always gonna be Voyager for me.
something about us for me.
Voyager, especially if you've seen Interstalla.... hits way different
Ah..... One More Time...........
Every song on this album is a banger for me. It's a masterpiece, the only album that beats it is RAM imo.
Voyager by Daft Punk is God-tier house music - the bass line is unbelievable. Check out live bass covers for this track, some bassists absolutely nail it.
It's a classic groovy funky track.nothing to do with house
In your own time, I encourage you all to sit down (together) and watch Interstella 5555. Doesn't even have to be on camera. But, it adds a lot more context to the album. Thank you for the reaction!!
Thank you so much for the support this means the world to us 🙏🏽
Yeah, this whole album has an anime music video. Done by one of the masters.
Yo word? I might try it out
@PinkDevilFruit It's 💯% worth it! I promise you. Use your favorite headphones or speakers, you will not be disappointed
@@Tcwilliams07 my guy putting me on some game!! Headphones locked in for Daft Punk!
It's a shame yall weren't vibing with Too Long, it's one of my personal favorites. Longer tracks like those are definitely not for everyone so I totally get it, but personally I looove when tracks slowly and slowly build like that, it makes each and every change an exciting one! I hope yall don't let it permanently sour your experience with the album, because it is genuinely such a great tune and serves as the perfect final closer to the album.
Either way, I can't fault yall because you gave Veridis Quo (my favorite song on the album) unanimous praise, when usually it's overlooked by most listeners. Big ups, be sure to check out their album Human After All next. It's a bit... "out there", but I think you guys might find something to enjoy out of it!
Finally someone, who recognizes, how great Too Long is, it's my personal favourite song
Completely agree with you.
I didn't appreciate Too Long until I got into Alive 2007
@@virgil.alonsothat remix is just 🤌
Hate it
LOVE the album! You guys should've watched the INTERSTELLA 5555 Movie man, it's the same album, but WITH the intended story/emotions etc, which was the complete experience... Also you guys would've understood more why certain songs have certain lengths and buildups. You'll NEVER get certain songs (for instance: Too long or the interlude etc...) this way unfortunately.
PLEASE do this listening again, but make it a WATCH with your live reactions on what you see on this movie and your emotions you get from it! This movie is a MASTERPIECE in such a way! It's the first and only (to my knowledge) Animated Disco House Musical!
This movie had ZERO dialogue (without the minimalistic vocals) and portrayed such a beautiful story! Bro, I wept serious MAN TEARS when I watched it. You guys OWE it to yourself to do an UPDATE VIDEO of this with the movie!
Appreciate you guys and love your channel!
The visual album is so important to the music of this album. It gives so much context. Without it, its a solid album, but with it you understand it so much more and why they created the songs the way they did. I really hope they do react to it. It completely changes the perspective of how the music is viewed.
They created the songs independently before the movie, so they werent made that long just for the story.
@@titicaca. Could you please credit your source for this? Geniously curious, but really doubted it for "Too long" and "Veridis Quo" for instance. Plus the exact order of the songs EXACTLY match the feelings, tempo, emotions, lyrics in each song so that would surprise me. Not saying it can't be true though. Maybe they adapted/edited some of their songs afterwards? Superheroes sound SO much better with the crowd chanting etc btw!:)
@@titicaca. whilst the album was released 2 years before the movie, the movie was scripted during recording sessions for the album so a lot of the album was written alongside the movie so I do think the movie affected the music. But yes a couple songs existed long before the movie was even conceived I believe.
@@Rik77 Yeah, Daft Punk played short circuit way back during the Homework Era during some of their live sets.
Now you have to react to Alive, it’s a live from 2007 and it is considered one of the best live experience ever.
They have to hear human after all and homework first for context
nah, not yet. Gotta hear Human After All and Homework (since they're going in reverse order)
I've seen that show live on a festival, biggest party i've ever had.
Came here to say this. Masterpiece.
I went to see this tour in L.A. and then in my hometown CDMX and as amazing, both times, but in here, they didn't want to end the encore, love them, so sad they split
Digital love is one of my favourite songs ever!
Daft Punk has the best love songs, no cap
It’s my favorite song of all time ngl
Same here
reminds me of irc eras.... a/s/l... 😂😂😂
The guitar solo is honestly top 10 of all time imo. It's just so damn good!
too long is actually fire
Too long is such a fucking great song 😂
RIP Romanthony
It’s a bit too long
The music video makes it so much better.
Well, yeah, but it is like ten minutes long so-
If you liked this one, Alive 2007 is insanely good
Agreed every track got me headbanging so hard
I feel like to truly appreciate it though you have to listen to the first 3 albums!
Fun fact: Veridis Quo together is Veridisquo. It sounds like Very Disco. Flip it around and you get Disco Very. Slap em together n its Discovery (Album 1:01:06 )
Watching the reactions with all four of ya’ll is great. You make it feel like we’re right there with the boys clowning each other in between some fire music

I love what they turned in for their first Homework assignment.
I played "Something about us" at my school prom, it was so touching that school toughest teacher cry.
This whole album is a Discovery alright.
How exactly did you play it though?
@MrLevi39 I selected the song and played it, not a live performance.
Discovery is arguably their best album because of the soulful 70s disco samples they brought into their style to produce banger after banger.
it is Very Disco, after all
or should i say, Veridis Quo
or maybe, Disco Very
Their best by far
Imo the album that made them who they are now - Banger after Banger ;)
Y’all’s reaction to Superheroes had me smiling til my face got sore. Such a damn underrated gem
Superheroes is a masterpiece.
This is my favourite daft punk song, so underrated...
a good one to blast the bass. Also probably has best stereo (panning) effects of the songs
superheroes is on top 5 of this album
They definitely need to listen to Alive 2007...
When I first heard Too Long, I admit, it wasnt my favorite track on the record. But after 20+ years, it just grows on you. Definitely Top 5 Daft Punk song for me. Love the reactions.
yep
this whole album is just so timeless!!!
While I agree, what a hilarious selling point.
"Will I like this song?"
"Sure! Just give it a decade or two"
y’all vibing to this amazing album has made my day bahahah your reactions are unmatched !!
If you guys want a real experience with this album, the band produced an entire anime movie named "INTERSTELLA 5555", complete with epic plot, that's just made up of music videos for each track.
The film that is associated with this album is called Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem. It is up on youtube in its entirety and so worth a watch if you have never seen it.
This album is so ridiculously good, love the use of samples.
I had the DJ play Digital Love at my wedding 😂
Man, this was really awesome to watch, and listen, with you guys!
When Crescendolls came on I just got the strongest nostalgia ever, I got transported back to 2001, 14 years old, sitting at the family computer, playing Fallout 2 and listening to this album on repeat for hours on end.
Good times... how I miss it. And you guys gave me some of it for a short while.
Thank you!
youre meant to vibe to this album these guys are looking for too much too long is a banger
Yeah but the album is supposed to show how they create music through the discovery of samples and thats what they do. Each song is sampled in some way
@@SkeddyNoodles47not every song in discovery is sampled, ex. short circuit
Cant believe that ppl just discovered this album now, i was banging this album when it came out all the time! Now 22yrs later i still gets chills of this album🙏🙏✌️
That’s insane bc all of us are 22 and 23 years old 😭😭

fire ass album tbh🤷♂
it's so funny how misunderstood Too Long is
At this point i'm just gonna ask for alive 2007 , just that one, whenever you can...
This whole album is goated. I remember hearing it after Daft bodies and daft hands went viral (before going viral was an everyday occurrence) and listening to this whole album on UA-cam. Then I begged to go to FYE and bought the CD🤍 when being a millennial was fun!! I would blare tf outta this album😂😂still have it!
Nice, i remember this, in my case i found them out on MTV back in the human after all era, but yea i loved daft hands
and also, there was a whole collab by newgrounds called daft punk newgrounds collab something like that, it was amazing too, absolute nostalgia
This is one of my favorite albums of all time! Digital Love puts me in good mood ever time i hear it!
It’s one of those albums where you don’t skip a single song and enjoy every single minute of it. Only a couple of albums have done it for me.
Which though? For me its RAM and a couple tame impala albums
It's like watching a human equalizer moving with the music :))
DP has innovated the EM with their creative samples
yall got to check out the rest of their discography. id suggest Homework -> Alive 1997 -> Human After All -> Alive 2007. There is a few other songs (Musique, Aerodynamite, Mothership Reconnection) you could throw into Homework because they are in albums that are just remixes of their other songs, also love the vids keep it up👍
It took me about 9 years to enjoy too long to its fullest, no pun intended, its kind of a niche track, its not very accessible for people out of the future funk/french house/nu disco circle.
I am trying my best not to sound condescending in any way, i'm just saying, i know there are absolute Metal masterpieces out there that i just won't be able to understand and enjoy to its fullest before i go out and get familiar with the genre first, get immersed into the Metal World or smth, and then i can sit down and listen to some metal track and go "WOW this is a Masterpiece!!!"
Same with Too Long, my attention span was worse than a tik tokker when i was a kid and this was already my fav album, but after i grew up, after i fell in love with old and new disco, with vaporwave, with future funk, with french house, and so on, only then i could listen to Too Long and see its beauty and value.
Fire Reactions! 🔥 Appreciate the full album vid! Daft Punk will always have a spot on my playlists!
Bro. I don't know how you guys stay seated. I could never NOT move to this album!!
Ay this might be a shot in the dark but I feel like ya’ll would rock with Justice (self titled) by Justice, my fav dance album personally
Co-sign. Daft Punk and Justice changed my whole concept of how good a live album could be, they hit just as good as the original albums. Plus Lil Uzi just sampled “Stress” on a song, first rapper I’ve heard sample Justice.
Such a fuckin incredible dance album
@@timpadilla85 jay z sampled them on "on to the next one" back in 09
@@tadknuf7979 Oh snap you right, totally forgot that one. Guess I should have checked WhoSampled to refresh my memory.
Discovery is one of my all time favourite albums, but imo (and I saw some other comments agree) you guys should definitely watch Interstella 5555 - which is the film made up of the music videos for this album. It is really part of the experience, you're missing half of this masterpiece by missing out on the movie. It is phenomenal, and provides the context for this album (things like why One More Time and other songs seem oddly long or oddly cut, or the weirdness of Harder Better Faster Stronger, it makes a lot more sense if you have the visuals that are meant to go with it).
immediate sub. i fucked with your guys' reaction to RAM, but this is great. glad you went down the rabbithole, and welcome to the fandom.
now do alive 2007 :)
One of my fav ever albums, so much fun to see you guys enjoying it lol big up
the too long slander is a crime
I loved your reactions to digital love hahah it's one of the songs I hold dearest in my heart
Btw the Face to face song uses like 20 different samples
that are like 2 or one second long
Glad you liked the album, do think it would’ve hit better if in a dancey mood and heard RAM after rather than before this (imo)
Whenever I am in a dark place and feel isolated and alone. I put this album on and it guides me back to the light. It's my happy space. Such a wonderful record. Loving seeing everyone vibe and enjoy it!
One of the greatest dance album of all time
I definitely wanna see a reaction to Justice's album cross since it's similar and good
Yesss that would be firee
Agreed, justice is fire.
JUSTICE NEEDS TO BE REACTED TO

@@bacone- that shit is one of my favorite from the album
PLEASE LISTEN TO ALIVE 2007 🥺❤️ love yalls reactions
RAM is music, Discovery is party.
Should be noted that this whole album has a film to go with it, and Too Long is the whole Epilogue and credits.
Yeah I hope they go watch Interstella 5555. The album will hit even better.
Digital Love and Something About Us are among my favorite songs of all time. They're not the most special songs ever but there's a vibe about them that makes me incredibly melancholic.
Discovery is my favorite Daft Punk album and the clips for these songs are amazing!
you guys are the best! fantastic chemistry as always
This was the first CD I bought as a kid, its great seeing Discovery reaching new audiences so long after its release. Great video guys.
In the mood of Daft Punk, Alive 2007 is a essential listen & for a different album with an amazing outro is Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
This album is so goated, easily my favorite album of all time. Reactions didn’t disappoint!
as others have said, you should listen to Alive 2007 from their tour, insane album with great mashups of songs from their other albums
happy you guys loved digital love so much
47:29 bro to the right had real life connection issues
I’m so glad you guys enjoyed the album! This shit was my CHILDHOOD! 😅
I was waiting for this !!! And happy to say i was not disappointed
This was great! You guys had a debate about what was harder, sampling or original music, and some tracks on this album have SO many samples, ranging from entire bars to just single notes. There can be a case where it would be easier to create a new song from scratch than to meticulously put all the samples to create the beat that you hear!
Second comment now that I almost finished watching it all.
This was a great reaction format, and you've gained a sub.
Really nice to kinda feel like you're sitting there with you guys and to get your honest reactions to this absolute masterpiece of an album.
There was a great mix of banter and clowning around with your mates, but I have to give props to red pants dude at the right for actually trying to immerse himself in every song to really feel it! (in his balls)
If you're looking for more reactable content with a HUGE fanbase (you'll easily get like 200k views) that just LOVE watching people discover the band, then you should do this with any album from the band TOOL! I'd recommend the album Lateralus, but Ænima and 10.000 Days are equally enjoyable!
Love the editing style of zooming in on your individual faces when good shit happens, only thing I can criticize is the horrible microphone quality, was difficult hearing what you said at times.
Thanks again! 10/10
Thank you for the fantastic comment man
I think if you are able to get to any more Daft Punk albums, a fun one to close out the duo would be their Alive 2007 album. They remix a lot of their songs together for a concert and made it an album after their tour, and it's a fun listen.
Ya reviewing Daft Punk?? I’m here for it 🍿
If you guys watch their movie interstella 5555 that'd be cool it uses this whole album but great video awesome reaction 👏
Damn bro I've been waiting for this to drop
I was asking for 6 days in a row for this
Bro this album actually has an accompanying anime movie called Interstella 5555
Been waiting for this 🙌
You should watch the sample breakdown for this Album, Insane
Whole album can literally travel you through the universe
Just love how they are vibin to the songs 👍
Favorite album of all time. Every song is a banger.
Hope you guys decide to do the rest of their albums. They all blew my mind
greatest album of all time
Can’t believe I caught this shit 3 days old. This is genuinely my favorite album ever so great to see the love
i see you enjoying a cold one like me whilst listening to great music !!!! love it
29:05 this feeling is why i listen to funky music lol
For me Short circuit & Veridis Quo are the best songs of that album !!
"last day of school type of vibe" ... never thought of this, but its dead on for me
This video is bringing me so much joy
This hit me in heart spot area again. I don't think these tracks are doing as much justice as they could if you watched the animated opera that went with these songs, named "Interstella: 5555 Story"
It's crazy how the first half of Short Circuit feels like they were playing around in FL Studio, and forgot to remove it from the song before publishing it. The second half however fucking _melllltttsss_ me, and it short circuiting makes it sound so fucking unique, i fucking love it. And also, insane riffs in Digital Love and Aerodynamic
Fun fact Short Circuit was actually created during the Homework era and was used in their Alive 1997 tour. It was finalized for Discovery.
When this album first came out. I played it so much I scratched it (CD's) and had to buy a second. This album was AMAZING
The thing you gotta know with this album is the entire thing is essentially samples. Maybe just 3 beats from one song, slowed down, pitched and rearranged. Look up a list of all the samples they messed with.
Crescendolls hitsssss
I love the record scratches
yall mad funny - new subbbbbbbbb instantly
Guys, I know it's not a much requested project but I'd love so much to see y'all react to their 3rd album (Human After All)
Very divisive project, it's truly a hate it or love it album, really different from their other albums, way colder and agressive and robot like, it'd be really interesting to have opinions from y'all discovering the album almost 2 decades after it's release
This whole album only to them a year and a half to make this entire ALBUM THE GOATS OF TECHNO FUNK!
"Everything was great, I forgot I was even here and I was mad it ended." Speak up bro ❤
I have a feeling you guys would like the album better if you saw Insterstella: 5555. It’s an animated movie that has no dialogue, and it’s essentially a music video for the entire album.
this was amazing but u guys need to sort out your audio mic setup , cant hear some of you
This is in my top 10 favourite albums of all time, Voyager always gets me
The anime, “ Interstellar 5555” is set exactly to this album. Check it out
As some others have said you are REALLY missing out on a lot of context not watchin Interstella 5555, as Discovery is the entire movies soundtrack. Made by Toei Animation, best know for the Captain Harlock Saga anime as well as Galaxy Express 999, the movie keys you into why certain tracks are long or shorter and adds emotional context and weight to many of the songs.
now you guys gotta listen to homework by daft punk or human after all
