The truly scary people, though, aren't the ones who're doing monstrous things because they think it's fun or what have you. Heroic, even. Fanatical zealots who even today kill people because they believe them to be witches think they're doing the Lord's work. Real-life vigilantes who, nothing like their comic counterparts often just beat the everloving shit out of people who flat don't deserve it think they're doing a community service. Batman believes judgement should passed by the people. Even though he will go above the law to get to his objectives, he almost never passes judgement, especially onto his foes. Just imagine batman as an extension of the police, he captures villains to be tried under the court of law.
@@phengvang5856 I can understand why some people could be against the death penalty however if someone in real life killed as many people as Joker did then the first time that person was caught the jury would have sentenced him to death after only about 2 minutes of deliberation (assuming of course they were in a state that did have the death penalty as an option).
@@TB-wn9xk jurors would've probably issue a death sentence on joker already but the fact that he is insane works with him on a lot of lvls, unfortunately, since it usually chalks up to him not being his fault because he's not in the right mind.
Though, it could also just be that Gotham doesnt allow the death penalty because it's inhumane, which would explain why a lot of villains like zsasz hasn't died yet.
