Wow, nice work Bart! I can see going through this being worth it on dedicated track/race bikes. It IS indeed pretty clean when you're done. Everything I've gotten from TST has been top notch. Just so happens I got a box full of stuff this week from y'all and looking forward to installing it all on my GSX-8R. :D
I guess if you don't mind the extra stuff left on the bike, plugging the AIS feed hose right by the airbox might still effectively disable the AIS and get rid of any exhaust popping, no? I'm not sure myself. But leaving all that stuff on the bike might be a preference for some folks, and would make it so that the whole thing could quickly be reverted back if needed. Thoughts?

If you need to eliminate that stuff for competition use the best couse of action is to remove all of it. I have seen some weekend warriors at the track with the hoses plugged off and solenoids disconnected, and that will do the trick as well. But if you arent building a dedicated track bike it is better to leave all that stuff functional. It does not hurt your performance in any way that will be felt riding on the street.

Will you get a Check Engine Light if after installing the plates?

You could get away with doing this for daily rider bikes too.. the DMV states that bike do not require a smog to be registered
