- "More time for leisure". A suite of amazing 'new' electrical goods for 1963, just "For Mum", at Christmas. Australian 1962 60sec TV ad produced by Avondale Studios (PN654) for Lintas advertising (60HX030). Titled '1963'
"Merry Christmas, sweetheart! Now get to work - our clothes aren't going to iron themselves."
If Hoover was making a Christmas commercial today, they would not say Christmas. Only holiday.
The Hoover cleaners and iron models shown had been replaced by new models by December 1962. The keymatic washing machine is from 1961.
love it so much I love old things from decades ago
That little girl is terrific in the TV commercial!
In their defense - they were labor saving devices, helping mum.
He hands her a gift. I think to myself, that better not be an iron. Sure enough, it's an iron. lol
Christmas in Australia is like the 4th of July in Arizona
yea, like Hoover at Christmas means keep mom working harder in the house, just with more modern house cleaning products.
And????
Think thats bad? My Wife wanted a watch, you believe that? I told her to forget it, there's a clock on the stove!
WOW
I'm still trying to figure out what Hoover knows...
for a sucky gift...buy a Hoover!
for a sucky comment be a troll LMFAO
Women were much happier when all they had to do was bake and clean.
Sheesh...you'd think if the guy could afford a Hoover vacuum cleaner, he could at least shelve out some dough for a decent looking Christmas tree....those POOR KIDS....lol
What a terrible Christmas Tree
don,t forget it was the 1960s so you only get that look once and personally from my view that was a lovely tree look to go with the Hoover Tune etc
Fake Christmas trees looked terrible back then.
@@hebneh My parents had a silver tree in the living room with only blue ornaments back in the 1960s. The real Christmas Tree was in the den.
