My late husband was the youngest of 19 children. He always said his Mum and Dad kept trying until they got perfection....namely HIM! They were such a happy and close family and his parents were so well loved and looked after in their later years. They worked hard and provided everything the family needed and set an example to their children as they each left home to start their own lives. All upstanding, decent people....and so much fun to be around. Sadly, my lovely husband was the last baby to arrive but the first to pass away suddenly from a heart attack when he was only 38 years old. I was, and still am, proud to have carried his surname of HILL for so many years. A wonderful family.

Tragically, 12 of the 24 died as babies or very young toddlers. They are such a close and loving family. I think large families, many times, are very close because they have to learn to share a lot, have patience, etc.

First time I've watched anything from this family, they come across as lovely people with lots of love to go around. I just don't understand why people share their lives and kids lives in this way.
She seems very healthy, they all do. With a house that big you’d expect them to be ill constantly as it will float from one to another until the one that originally spread the germs catches them again lol. The only thing I’ve heard in terms of bad health from them is when their daughter snapped her leg a few years ago.. But all her births were natural and has been told that she’s still very okay to have more if she wanted.
I remember looking thru the Sears magazine to decide what I wanted for Christmas. I think it's a British thing as my parents are British living in America.
Irresponsible to have that many children .. I had one .. privately educated and now has a brilliant career and life style. Gave all my attention on my son, I kept a beautiful home, no mess and no noise of all those kids grasping for attention. Can’t be healthy for mum having had all those pregnancies. Shameful behaviour

Please explain how they can afford all these children on a one income bakers salary? Great family but I just can’t imagine feeding clothing so many children. 5-7 grand for Xmas gifts??? Does the extended family or government provide? I would love to have more children but after 5 foot wear alone is several hundred dollars and they wear out or grow out in 6-8 months. Please explain and no nasty responses. Just wondering .
