Disney need to use this movie as a wakeup call. Seriously. When you let an actor who knows what the fans want, and an director/writer who wants to just be fun and entertaining and you let them do what they want, you will almost always get a natural, memorable high quality product. This had the 6th highest opening weekend and the 1st highest R-rated opening weekend ever. That's a massive accomplishment that needs to not go unnoticed by Disney
Honestly, i haven't gone to the movies in 6 years. But i had to go see this in theaters. This movie is what i thought the first 2 Deadpool movies were gonna be like, it was perfect, & they really did save the best for last (if u know what i mean, i can't believe they finally did it).

The fact that Hugh took his time to acknowledge the guy wearing the Wolverine suit was nice, it only took him a couple of seconds but that meant so much to that guy that he’ll forever cheerish~

No spoilers, but I agree with Ryan : the emotional part did work as well as the funny part. This was the best Wolverine after "Logan". Hugh totally nailed it and made me care about that character's story.
They really did take a new Wolverine that only had 2/3rds of a movie to work with compared to the *9 entire movies* of the one Hugh's been playing all this time and told a complete character arc in just over an hour. What an absolute achievement of writing.
I just wish Disney realized for future movies that the balance of story vs action scenes in this movies are great and they should continue that with future movies. Action is so important to these superhero movies and we dont get enough of them in most Marvel movies.
Absolutely agreed! I love superhero movies but it's such a drag when you get 1h30 of buildup for one or two action scenes of 1-2 minutes. I mean, the opposite isn't better either, but there has to be a balance.
@@ofnir123 It's kind of the Rocky/old Star Wars formula you get your story out first then deal with the glitz and glamour of fight scenes whether in the middle end/both or some sprinkled here and there. But that formula fits certain movies and certain types of storytelling but I think the fight scene in the car got a little too much for me like it was great but I felt I had seen a lot of fighting at that point to feel like oh okay i'd like a breather for a little bit longer before we get into another fight. All in all though I did love this movie
Deadpool having no comeback when he knows damn well he can push Logan as much as he wants as violently as he wants and he'll still live through anything is just amazing. In that one moment, Wade decided trying to make a clapback just wasn't worth it and they should just skip straight to the happy slaps.
I was, to word in this is the best way possible, wondering when it was even gonna end from how much of a long banger it was. Wolverine is never much of a chatter, so to see him cook so hard *DEADPOOL* has no verbal clapback is incredible. I loved how impactful that thing was.

Ending credits is so damn sad for us 90s kids. 2000 I turned 9 and x men was my favorite comics and animated show. Then the movies. All these years and now it’s over. Sad to see it going away forever

My wife was able to get all 4 of us tickets this past weekend. The entire theater was filled with such wholesome laughter something these films haven't captured in so many years. Dog-pool is my Daughters favorite character of the movie she couldn't stop talking about her on the way home. Thank you Ryan & Hugh this film was beyond perfect. ❤️
The movie was a 10 for sure. I’m not even a diehard Deadpool or Wolverine fan, so the bias wasn’t there for me (I can’t even begin to imagine how much you all must have enjoyed it). It was just a 100% solid story that was perfectly written, expertly acted, justly hyped, and was delivered exceptionally. It’s probably one of the VERY rare films I’ll never get tired of watching.
I know the Motion Picture Academy doesn't take comic book movies seriously, but I really hope Reynolds and Disney lobby hard for Hugh Jackman to get an Oscar.

Sometimes it's not about the amount of dialog they get to "sink their teeth into" and more about their presence and the cumulative effect they have on the film (or the film series, as we saw with The Return of the King's haul). 2) Yes, it's still a longshot, but part of the humor in the push--the joke that would be 100% on-brand for Reynolds and Deadpool--is that there is this whole Oscar-bait lobbying campaign that leads people like DeCaprio to go on a 25 year odyssey for their little golden statue.
This reminded me alot of Kevin Smith when he made Clerks 3 with the imposter syndrome. He asked all these people to be part of his movie thinking nobody wanted to play in his sandbox but they all said yes.
Deadpool is such an enigma, its something that has surpassed itself with each sequel. This latest movie was shot so beautiful to the point its just pure chaotic violent art in some places. The amount of thought that has gone into it is unreal. You can tell Ryan is proud as fuck of it and so he should be; He WILLED this to be and look what its become

I knew they would let it go in the same direction it was in. They have the Punisher show coming out with another season too. I highly doubt they were going to tone it all down. If they had made a Deadpool movie every two or three years... it would have gotten boring and annoying REALLY quick, but there is a lot of spacing between them, it gives us time to breath, to appreciate the jokes and for the movies to percolate around the net and then... die down the memory a little a leave us to develop that "nostalgic" feeling. And when they come back... we are prepared for a new one, even if it isnt really different from the others, because we "suffering" from the lack of those movies.
That's actually something I thought of after seeing Deadpool 2. Yeah, it was good, but it didn't feel as impactful as the first to me. This long gap was perfect for proving that this series just needed a little breathing room to be as incredible as the "surprise" leak video was all those years ago.
*Deadpool & Wolverine genuinely surprised me. I went into the theatre with my friends thinking, even if the films garbage it will be good just being with my friends again I hadn't seen them in months, but this is genuinely the 2nd best Deadpool film & the best MCU film in half a decade because lets face it the past 5 years have not been kind to the franchise. Reynolds & Jackman saved it.*
This movie was phenomenal in its nods to the previous X-Men movies, but the MCU is far from being saved. It will only be saved when we get multiple good movies in a row.
This movie proves that star power still has pull if paired with the right role and script. Yo go to the movie because its Deadpool and Wolverine but also you go to the movie because it's Reynolds and Jackman. I would so love to see them pair up but in a full serious movie.
Deadpool did all the usual marvelism of late - overblown fights, too high stakes, endless cameos/tie ins - but stuck the landing because it had fleshed out characters we cared about and a heartfelt story inside of all the comedy

I remember going to dances in college and this song with the slow emotional parts (ending) and the dance parts (fighting) made this song unique.

That's actually something I thought of after seeing Deadpool 2. Yeah, it was good, but it didn't feel as impactful as the first to me. This long gap was perfect for proving that this series just needed a little breathing room to be as incredible as the "surprise" leak video was all those years ago.

I went into the theatre with my friends thinking, even if the films garbage it will be good just being with my friends again I hadn't seen them in months, but this is genuinely the 2nd best Deadpool film & the best MCU film in half a decade because lets face it the past 5 years have not been kind to the franchise. Reynolds & Jackman saved it.*
This movie was phenomenal in its nods to the previous X-Men movies, but the MCU is far from being saved. It will only be saved when we get multiple good movies in a row.

Bryan Singer was a comics appologist but Feige, Reynolds, and Levy are comics nerds so of course we got the yellow suit and the mask.
The joke Ryan said Hugh let pass must have been the comment on his real life divorce. I was surprised he let that slide.
When the creators are fans and respect the source material, it shows. This whole project felt like a love letter to fans.

This movie proves that star power still has pull if paired with the right role and script. Yo go to the movie because its Deadpool and Wolverine but also you go to the movie because it's Reynolds and Jackman. I would so love to see them pair up but in a full serious movie.

Deadpool did all the usual marvelism of late - overblown fights, too high stakes, endless cameos/tie ins - but stuck the landing because it had fleshed out characters we cared about and a heartfelt story inside of all the comedy
