Hmmm! I don't know whether you are a man or a woman. But believe me; I like the way you follow the tree line of faith from 1909 to date. You are no doubt a strong believer of Christ 🙏🏼. Infact, you are sent
What a powerful truth! Thank You Lord for the identity You have graciously given us! Sharing Your divinity with us and yet You are in a class all by Yourself 🙌🏾 More grace to You Evon ❤
This woman clearly loves God and wants to spread light, kindness and decency. But, respectfully, though, and with love, this sermon included a lot of false teaching mixed in with some important truths of God. Some of the false teachings include (note that many of them start Biblical and then end in something not Biblical): 23:03 “Our greatest calling, our highest purpose, as Neale Donald Walsch says, “is to know yourself as God.” Neale Donald Walsch is not a Christian teacher, he describes himself on his website as “a modern day spiritual messenger whose words continue to touch the world in profound ways.” In no way does Donald Walsch describe himself as a Christian or even mention Christ on his website. He is usually characterized as with the “New Age Spirituality” movement. Yet, not only does the speaker directly quote a man who is not even a Christian when explaining our purpose, the speaker goes on to mainly give a summary of the teachings of his book Conversations with God as throughout the rest of her presentation. 33:13 “Except that in traditional prayer most of what occurs is us directing our communication to God, it tends to be a one way monologue which always should come from a place of gratitude and not supplication.” This two way prayer idea is most likely more from Walsch’s teachings, he says a lot about prayer being two-way conversations, which in of itself is not completely unbiblical. It’s just a partial truth. We are to bring any type of petition or supplication we want to our Father. We’re not only meant to give thanksgiving. See Phillipians 4:6. In addition, see the Lord’s prayer, which CHRIST HIMSELF told us to pray. There are a lot of supplications in that. 30:14 “Can two walk together except they agree?” She uses this scripture to explain that you can’t walk with God unless you believe you are God. This verse most likely means you have to be in one accord with someone to walk together, not that you have to be the same substance as the person. Simply put, I don’t have to actually be God to walk in agreement with God. but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. At various points she seems to rest on the scripture You will do greater things than these (John 14:12) to say that we are not doing greater miracles than Christ because we do not believe that we are God. But, the scripture is clear that we will do Greater things than Christ if we believe in Christ. That belief leads us to submit to Christ and the leadings of the Holy Spirit. So, this is an odd place to take the Bible passage. 34:51 “ Decree a thing and it shall be established.” This verse actually says established unto thee (unto you). So, that limits what would be established. But, more importantly, this was said by one of Job’s friends. By the end of Job, the speakers are rebuked by God. So, it’ s odd, at the very least, to hold as authoritative sentiments expressed in a speech denounced by God. We have better scripture for our power to shape the world and they’re all tethered in what we’re declaring being aligned to God’s will. (see John 14:13). As Christians, we don’t unilaterally just declare things and expect them, no matter what they are, to manifest. We align what we are manifesting to the will of God. This verse also contradicts what she says later that prayer is only for thanksgiving. “People should see you and then not even need to see God because you so reflect the Father.” This is not Biblical. Your reflection of the Father should lead to people wanting to know God and worship God. Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 43:00 “Begin to act as God in everyday situations. The miraculous happens when we assume the identity of God in us. When you take the position of God amidst a thing. The question that you must ask yourself in every situation that you face is what would God do now? Then you act accordingly.” This is not scriptural. Philippians 4: 6b but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Overall, it seemed that she wanted to raise Christians up in the understanding that they are powerful because they are made in the image of a powerful God and many times she made it clear that this power is derived from God and kind of said that we should use them to establish God’s will. But, the biggest problem is probably with how we establish God’s will. She seemed to be expressing that we know God’s will because we are God. There was a mixed message about whether or not we are God, rather than simply the image of God. And if we’ve accepted Christ, human beings with the divinity of the Holy Spirit abiding in us. So, in fairness, she would spend time saying that we should spend time praying and meditating. She also said we should be confident of the Spirit of God in us. That said, there’s a lot of talk about us going out and shaping the world, but very little talk about God’s will and that the purpose of the power we get from God is for us to establish God’s will on earth. For example, she uses the Ezekiel dry bones story to rightfully say God wants to partner with us in miracles. But, she makes it seem like we can singlehandedly decide what miracles we want to do in the world. Instead of truly tethering this faith back to God’s leading and will. (28:18 “Miracles happen when, like Ezekiel, when we align ourselves with the position of God in the matter. We step boldly into the position of God in the matter. What would God do if He was here? Because the truth of the matter is that if you’ve seen me, there’s no need to even see the Father because I walk in the divinity of the Father. I walk in the authority of the Father. I walk in the power of the Father.”) We partner with God to do GOD’s will. Christian can ask God what His will is and then we set out to establish this. We don’t get to determine, by looking inward what God’s will is and then go establish it in the world. There was also very little talk of reading the scripture before using the power God has given us.
