North Borneo Steam 2005 - Tanjung Aru to Beaufort & Beaufort to Tenom

- A RTC charter on th North Borneo (Sabah State) Railway on 21- 22-7-2005
Tanjung Aru to Beaufort on 21-7-2005 and Beaufort to Tenom on 22-7-2005 with NBR Vulcan Foundry 2-6-2 6-015 (1955). Also included is a brief visit to The Sabah State museum with some plinthed locos.
Both journeys were not without incident as on the first day a boiler washout plug packing in the cab failed, luckily not causing any injuries, and on the second day the locomotive pony truck derailed causing a four hour delay.

Was Tenom station to small to fit All 5 passenger Coaches and the Railcar That was An kitchen Car?
Yes the ex railcar was a kitchen car, we only had two coaches as it was a charter train and we were a small group
What do you mean False Departure? It's clearly the Correct Time.
A false departure just means the photographers get of the train and film it leaving the station, the train then stops and they all get on again or sometimes the train reverses back to the station before leaving again.
