I must say that you're doing a great job! Your video's are very to the point, no bullshit, but a lot of information, which is very important to a possible buyer.
Dude I am so glad that you got a 15p! I just got one at auction as well and I love mine. The hydraulic cooler is going to be a must. After about an hour of work it becomes dangerously hot. I love your channel and I can't wait to see more videos on this machine :)
The seat belts being attached to the seat frame does little to nothing if you are falling forward. I repositioned mine to bolt to the body. It actually works now.
Hey Cam, subscriber here, just wanted to pop on and leave you comment and say that your videos are really well done and provide a lot of information, what great content, thanks
You said it, AGTs really are the entry level machines. Especially the auction units. High Top, MIVA, VICSEC, Kymron, JPC, MMS, and AHM brands have upgraded DCVs, pumps and motors. The DCV is the big difference. I even noticed a difference in the quality of the welds.
Regarding the fixed thumb, it doesn't need a bar to hold its position, the top pin is used on the lower side and holds it in place making it functional
Just bought an AGT H15 with pilot controls, counterweights, double pump and built-in oil cooler. Brand new, $4,000 Canadian plus 15% auction fees. 2 other AGT units almost identical sold for $3,350. These seem to be selling quite a bit cheaper in Canada than the US. Not sure why.
Cam, I appreciate your videos, they are quite informative. Did you ever do any more experiments on modifying the hydraulic control spool shafts with additional cutouts for smoothing out hydraulics. I have seen a high dollar spool shaft that had 3 different lengths of these pre-load cutouts that would in theory give you a progressively increasing smoothing function. I think some of the milled cutouts even had a tapered depth to I guess make the adjustment even more gradual. Hey guys, I purchased a Chinese Mini-X last week. It is a TPM Industries TPM-16. It is very similar to a FF-15 with a few differences. It came with a B&S engine, hydraulic thumb, 3-way aux switch, oil cooler, steel plate counterweight stack, hoses routed inside the boom and the boom cylinder is mounted on the rear side. I really like it (twichy on some controls), but I cannot find a manual for it. Their website does not have a download for it. Do any of you guys have info on this model? Thanks, Randy
Regarding your filter kit for this, wouldnt this machine need 3 filters? The DCV has a return and the 2 pilots controls have dedicated return lines to that tank. I was looking at how to add one today and see there are 3 return lines
I just bought the same machine. 12 hours so far and I really like it. Amazed at what it can do. I wanted the pilot controls so I didn't have to sit hunched over and am glad i did. Wondering if a filter needs to be added since there is already a filter in the hydraulic tank?
Do you know where to get a replacement pump for this machine or one from surplus center that would work? Just trying to order a spare, I dont need it to be exactly like this one, curious if you know what the gpm is for the pilot pump vs the main pump? Would a single upgraded pump be able to power the dcv and the pilots? So a gear drive similar to the 12 series units, where there is only 1 pump like on the L12 but something in the 7gpm range, obviously this would bypass the safety lever on the pilot controls, but im willing to do that if needed.
The Miva's are the smoothest machines. Va13, va15, va15p etc. Better quality control compared to AGT from what i have seen. PLEASE COME UP WITH KITS FOR HYDRAULIC COOLERS FOR THE MIVA's!!
If you pull two levers at the same time, the arm moves first, the boom moves later, and if you turn the right lever in the direction of 7 o'clock, the bucket moves first, and then the boom moves later. It doesn't work at the same time. How about this model?
I agree that this channel is the best! I just subscribed. I resently bought a qk16r at auction. I am pleased with the purchase. I went with this model because it has the diverters on the dipper and a hydraulic thumb. Also its slightly larger than the h12 style machines. I like how the push blade is constructed vs other machines and the fact that its as wide as the tracks, some are not. The canopy is more substantial and doesnt flap around while driving. It also has a fan assited hydraulic cooler from the factory. I would like to add a filter soon though. I see similarities between the qk16r and the miva in the video. I think I made back half my purchase price by digging a 70' ditch for a subpanel and floor drain/down spout pipes. Sorry about the rambling, have a good day.

easily the best chinese mini excavator channel on youtube

I just won an auction for its Grand Daddy, the VA20 diesel. Cant wait!
Those are great machines!

I do have one question, do I need to put any Teflon tape or pipe dope on any of these hydraulic threaded connections?
@@jonathanyates8414 not any of them that have Oring seals

When you get the cooler and filter for this machine I want one please let us know when you have them. Plug and play!

Mind blown!!!

The hydraulic tank only has a suction strainer, which isn’t designed to take out small particles
@@thegarageconnection I see. Do you have any details, part numbers, or plans to put a filter on yours? If so, please share as I'd like to do the same.
please make a hydraulic return filter kit for AGT L12

I love my Mini Excavator
Is your machine warm when this video was filmed? Curious if the hydraulic level in the circle sight glass is cold level or warmed level
Cold level
"Does not have a 3 way valve?" what are you referring too? I just purchased one and cannot wait until your cooler kit comes out.
The three way diverter valves that allow the thumb movement with optional attachments
My DY 14 has a seat belt. I really wish I would have gotten one with pilot controls. Mine messes my back up.

It would be great to get a hydraulic filter kit for dy 14
I own this exact machine...how can I buy the filter kit you are developing?
Thanks for the videos. Any thought to a aftermarket feet pedal controls for AGT/12 model series forward and back or thumb?
Lyle Goodiff sells them on Facebook
Can you link to the hydraulic cooler kit for this machine? I just got one from auction
I noticed the drive motors on the VA13 look different than most other brands. Do they use a spline shaft instead of a tapered with nut?

Good video, Cam. Any news on my hose request?
I have been looking at a Rippa unit. Any thoughts or concerns?
Rippa makes a wonderful product

That sounds like a great find at auction! I love seeing these machines put to work and that’s a pretty good return on your investment.
Id say the rhinoceros xn12-9 is one of the highest level chinese 1 tons
Nevermind. Should have watched longer.
Since it's a diesel why is there a choke?
Not a diesel
He was pointing out that the key is also used for the diesel versions, but this one is not.
Local guys has a few for sale. Brand new. Asking $5680. What would you offer cash?
Last auction I seen these at they sold for 4500
@@SCDeerAddict is that plus the fees and tax?
@jimg2885 no, 4500 plus fees
How much ws it?
I paid $4k + 18%
What’s a “fair price” for this?
4k before fees
@ that’s not bad.
I just won one at auction 4,250 before fees
@@SCDeerAddictVery reasonable. I have the skid steer / loader version but adding one of these would come in handy.
