It's a pretty well known fact. Also the watch is only "ruined" if you want to resell it for market value. "Ruined" is also a relative term. They are buying trophies to celebrate their success, and the fact is a lot of watch companies do not really make diamond watches for men. Personally. I think certain watches look extremely nice with diamonds compared to plain. The cartier santos W2SA0009, and all the other santos for that matter. I think it is a plain looking watch and setting it with diamonds , when done right with quality diamonds really enhances the watch. Watches like the rolex skydweller however are indeed "ruined" when they're set with diamonds. The watches look extremely ugly.
