This was my first and only car and I absolutely loved it! I did a 3 year lease. Both my brothers teased me for getting a Prius but then they drove it and said they liked it better than their cars and my twin ended up buying the exact model I had years later. If you want a transportation car this is great! I am probably the one person in the world who was pulled over a few times for speeding in it but never actually was given a ticket- cops just told me to slow down.
My wife just bought one of these and I have to say I love that little thing. It goes way better than any of the other small cars I have driven. Powers up hills easily and feels responsive both in steering and throttle. Not to mention it gets almost 60mpg. I find it more fun to drive than my regular prius.
I have a 2012, I just posted it for sale, but its a great car I just need something bigger after a year and a half. But when I was commuting 116 miles a day for my prior job, it was a huge money saver.
I have this very vehicle if anyone wants a vehicle to recondition. It's trim 2. 218k miles new tires and noon battery. Interior is good condition no stains, no smell, no smoking. Left headlight was replaced but haven't done the right yet. Left taillight was replaced too. Clearcoat is pealing but has been garaged to prevent further damage. It gets 48-52(depending on octane) mpg. 9 gallon tank gets 400-480 miles per tank(again depending on octane, and foot 🦶🏻 of driver 😉I'm a easy does it foot).
THIS PRIUS LOOKS NORMAL. That is the main reason for buying the Prius-C instead of the regular Prius. The regular Prius liftback has a dash that is so high it makes it difficult to see the road surface ahead of the car, and that makes parking in tight parking lots difficult without smashing into the sides of other people's cars while maneuvering in to a parking spot. The Prius C on the other hand has a lower dash, something shorter drivers like. But yes, the interior does feel really cheap.
I like your review. Please don't be shy to go more into details and make this video longer. When looking for a car to buy I really want to know everything there is to know.
Got a Japanese made Prius Aqua 2013 a few weeks ago after having a 2007 Prius hatch for about a year. Straight off it was doing 26 km/l ( 62.8 MPG) on the daily commute, the best I got from the 2007 was 24 km/l (56 MPG). You do need to drive it a bit differently as the compact has smaller battery so I find it does better driven a bit faster as it has less weight to glide like the heavier models. On other hand it has a higher EV cut off speed than the 2007 so battery is more useful in commuting traffic.I'm enjoying the handling in compact as it is lighter and the main mass is lower so it corners better. My one has a space-saver spare tyre which is not in my bigger 2013 Prius Alpha station wagon - just has the tyre iflation kit.
Nice review. I got a short video on my channel of a New Zealand back roads test of my Prius C. I've done 15,000km since new in only 3 months. It's been brilliant.
banditoo7 hi , I am planning to buy a second hand car here in Japan , Prius C . I am wondering , does this battery need to be changed? how about the car power , is it slur or is it just like any normal car (non hybrid ) , this will be my first car , I will be also using it to learn to drive .can you please advice me on this issue . Thank you
Have a level 4 upgrade: Cruise control/ Bluetooth/ electric retractable or tilting moon roof/satellite radio/navigation system/all voice activated controls/and best of all heated front seats. Who needs to drive 100-110 mph??? In ECO mode getting 55-64 mpg still at 100k miles
For highway driving, our Avalon gets almost as good mileage as the Prius C. In City driving the Prius is nearly double the Avalon. Our King Ranch, one ton diesel beats both of them pulling a trailer. All three are excellent at what they are made for. The Prius C is a nice little car but no one can do a review without a tone of negative. If it was loaded and deluxe it wouldn't do it's job so well.
If anyone has this car can you , Can you tell me if this car can handle a large hill commute ? Is it going to be force the motor to the point it will lower the life of the engine/car? Thank you!
I am buying a second hand Prius C to drive it here in Japan , It will be my first car ! I have never touched a car ! How about this battery ? Can you change it if I bought a car made in 2012 or 2013 ? Can I switch to drive using the gasoline only when i need ?
owner 2013 prius c 128000 miles almost 4 years. hybrid battery replaced, auxiliary 12 v battery replaced, breaks pads replaced once, now key ignition cylinder need be replaced $ 700 according to dealer some green bills to afford a greener car

I rode in a premium model from my co-worker and the interior is just pure crap. The fake leather is just feels weird and not easily cleaned. Volkswagen put fake peather in their car and they doa good job. I've seen 4 cylinder hatchback that looks nicer than the Prius C inside and out. I guess we know where Toyota cut corners.
It does up to 99.9 mpg then it shows 7mpg driving the same speed in the same area. I rented another car that wasn't a hybrid and it wasted as much gas. So they lied. It's better than other cars but not by much. So whatever. I notice those changes after i got it back from the shop where they fix the a/c. So it's either just the car or the shop fuck it up. Always take it to the dealer anyone else will fuck it up.

It has GPS but when I had it second year it gave me wrong direction, I found out they put 2012 in a 2013. They wanted $1200 to update it.

Cool little car
I have this car. I get 54 MPG. I'm getting flyers to change to 2018 but I'm too happy with what I got and not much difference 5 years later.
Do you have any problems?
Tech guy nope, no problems.

Do any versions of the 2013 prius c have cruise control? What about Blue Tooth?
Hi, some have bluetooth, but not sure about the cruise control. I have a 2013 prius C that has bluetooth but no cruise control.

Yes and no but it will be slow
It’s a Toyota. Period. Best cars out there.

Looks cool, but it drives so much worse than the regular Prius. Toyota needs to fix this.
It's not terrible once it's upgraded to the four and given all it's options
still less than a Prius...

it is nice but the engine it not that powerful though at least 200-260hp

I love “ less complexity”.
Waste as much gas just being on as driving.
Underpowered, overpriced. Toyota! What happened?
What sort of price do you expect for a hybrid drivetrain? This thing gets great mpg.
