Only Big Mom fell off the boat. I read the chapter and it doesn't say any other Devil Fruit users feel into the sea. There is a line where they clarify Big Mom herself is an ability user and she fell into the sea. So to clarify, only Big Mom fell into the ocean, everyone else survive.

I wonder if the reason Oda seems to be rushing toward the "final battle" is because the final battle is going to take up a majority of the arc. It could still be a huge arc, 100+ chapters long but mostly battle. There are so many characters involved in this arc, the battles are going to take forever.
I really hope not. Battles are cool, but they need to be kept moving or they get dull and arc fatigue sets in. Remember DBS and the Tournament of Power?
All of Dressrosa took two years. Imagine if just the last portion of the arc, all the fights with the eventual fleet members vs the Doflamingo Family + Luffy vs Doffy itself... imagine that alone taking 2 years.

@@darklordofsword I absolutely agree with you. The Luffy/Katakuri fight got old for me real fast. Unfortunately, Oda I think wrote himself into a corner by making this arc as big as it is (and potentially making it bigger if the WG or the Grand Fleet get involved). There are going to be a lot of fights that people are going to want to see.

I am assuming you are reading the Manga Stream translation and i would suggest you stop reading it. The line "some of the devil fruit user drown" is most likely miss translated. In other version, the translation going along the line of : "she is an ability user, she could have drown felling into the sea" which make sense consider the last line saying : "mama vivre card is still intact, is a miracle".
Read the the Jaiminisbox translation, they are always more accurate and provide very good translator note and trivia fact at the end of the chapter.
I will never understand why people still bother with Manga Stream when they added in a Martha Stewart reference at the beginning of Zou.

I have this super crazy theory (that even Im skepticle about...) about where Zoro originated from, or when. Basically the theory goes that what if Zoro was truly born in Wano...but not 21 years ago but instead centuries ago? Let me explain
What if Zoro was the son of Ryuma and Lady Toki and the reason how he ended up in the present might be because she sent him into the future for unknown reasons. The reasons for why I think this theory is possible is because:
1) Toki has/had the ability to send others into the future as well as herself, and she confirms that she didnt originate from this era so it might be possible that she was born hundreds of years ago and in one of her time jumps she might have ended up in Ryumas era and did the deed with him
2) Zoro and Ryuma look very similar to the point that you can confuse them for brothers if they stood right next to each other, or maybe even father and son. Remember that in one piece, family members that arent siblings can look incredibly identical to each other, and if you ask "Why does Zoro have green hair instead of black hair like Ryuma?" simple, he might have gotten his hair color from Toki or from his grandparents,who knows.
And 3) Its a little too coincidental that Zoro taught Momonosuke the word Snatch, a word that supposidly has its roots in ancient Wano dialect out of nowhere. It might be possible that he heard his father say the word snatch and it might have ingrained itself into his memories. Heck maybe that was supposed Zoro‘s birth name?
Rebuttals:
If Ryuma was Zoro‘s father, why didn‘t he recognize Zoro back in the Thriller bark arc? Zoro may have been sent into the future when he was a little baby and he sadly has very little memories of his infant son.
How did Zoro end up in that town back in the east blue? Maybe when he arrived in the present 20 or so years ago, he was found by someone or maybe even Toki herself and to ensure his safety, sent him away into the seas and he somehow arrived in the east blue. Its also possible that Toki not only has the power to send someone into the future, but maybe even wherever she likes as well. So might have even sent him into the future and in the east blue.
I know that there are many flaws to this theory and that this grasping at straws, but its a cool little theory that I thought of when I read the newest chapter and I think it has some merit to it as well. I know that someone else might have came up with this theory as well, but I am just simply stating what came to my mind and hope I am not stealing someone else‘s theory. I don't see the problem with finding Zoro's parents. As long as his dad isn't a scientist with multiple sons all with different colored hair and elemental powers and a older daughter that cares about Zoro even tho the entire family disowned him cause he was to weak. Honestly I don't think finding Zoro's parents would be even close to similar. Honestly they could spin it that they died from starvation after the downfall of Wano under Kaido's rule. So finding out Zoros past including being introduced to a family member doesn't mean it has to be in the same vein as Sanjis past. In fact it could lead to his biggest character quirk saying he went out to play by himself got lost and we follow a long dangerous journey of young Zoro as he got lost in Wano and ended up in the East Blue.
Could have been simple as his mom gave him some money to go buy milk at the store in Kuri,Wano and Zoro ended up in the East Blue.....because he's Zoro

Tekking, you really should just swap back to Jaimini's Box. They release faster and are more accurate translators overall, not to mention they're the version most people talk about in weekly discussion threads (or at least in the subreddit). Not to mention, Mangastream are kinda shady killstealers who rush the translation for more revenue and outcompete so many other scanlators to get translation monopoly. It's a terrible practice that leaves a lot of manga without ever getting a heartfelt, not-rushed translation.

Tekking, i don't know which translation you read, but there was no line in this chapter about a random devil fruit user fell into the water and died. one line of dialogue was referring to Big Mom, it reads "a devil fruit user like her falling into the water... maybe the enemy will pull her up and capture her?"

I'm putting the pieces together now; the smaller ships of the All-Stars' fleets must be modelled with Scorpion heads because Queen must be in charge of the vehicular aspects of the Beast Pirates, which we can guess because he rocks up with a biker crew, and he's probably a massive vehicle nut because he's consumed the Sea Scorpion Zoan...but can't access the sea! It all makes sense...
So an interesting point, Jaimini's box and Mangastream translated the chapters slightly different, Jaimini's box did not say that anyone from the BM pirates drowned, instead they have someone saying that mama fell out at the top of the waterfall.
I don't think Luffy used the Sword when he attacked Kaido, so it's where he left it, or with Law?
Its pretty cool how significant maps are in One Piece. Oda doesnt always provide a map of the place but the anime usually makes a point to show the geography in order to make the story flow. World building at its best.

kaido and his calamities beast forms kinda resemble the Japanese four guardian beasts
Kaido -> Seiryu: Azure dragon -> (blue) dragon
King -> Suzaku: Vermillion bird -> pteranodon with (red?) flame
Queen -> ???
Jack -> Genbu: Snake wrapped on turtle -> mammoth looks like snake wrapping turtle
The order also matches with the season they represent. Seiryu: Spring, Suzaku: Summer, Byakko (white tiger): Fall, Genbu: Winter. So queen could be something related to white tiger?
I think Sanji will peek and unfortunately see Shinobu instead of Nami or Robin in the bath

I have a theory as to why Oda is offscreening alot of the Wano arc its because that the movie after the OP stampede movie the sequel will be based off the Wano Arc

I think we know the result of sanji vs page one. One of the guy in flower capital talks about some 'supernatural incident' and that he was woken up by crushing thunder which is probably referencing to sanji getting into the sky and landing a kick on page one.
