Glad to help. Breads, biscuits and similar items are done at 200F. Cakes are between 200-210. Brownies can be less. Occasionally thermometers can be off or it just doesn't look right. Go with the toothpick method if you're ever unsure. (This was from my cake decorator instructor from years ago. She was a nutritionist).

Yes. I use it in the van because it runs easily off my solar. For some people this is all they have to cook on though. The homeless who are living in their cars can sometimes run it off an adapter in their vehicle. (I'm told this but haven't tried it). It can also be used in dorms, RV and for general travel - especially if someone has food allergies or special needs.

I recommend buying the dash 8" griddle. It is better then the 5 inch.
