I have this problem with my P30 Pro.
Same issue with other P30 Pro users. Because I've been searching and reading about this camera issue on Huawei P30 Pro.
And I found out that I'm not the only one who's experiencing this with this unit.
So what happen to our phone camera?
That, I don't know.
Suddenly it became blurry from x1 to x50.
My concern is the rear camera of my phone. It can't focus and take any clear shot anymore. Even video recording is also blurred. It's also hard to press the camera button. Hard to press that I have to tap it multiple times before I can capture something. 🥴 As you see on this video.
I'm done with phone reseting etc.
My phone is updated already. But nothing's work. Been chatting with Huawei Support Tech Agent. And they just advise me to replace the whole camera. Just like that. 😒
Because they say the camera is faulty?
It is obvious the camera has a problem.
But I don't do anything to make this camera phone blurry. 😢
I think It's Huawei's issue.
I just bought it 3years ago. 2019. And now suddenly the camera is not working properly. My question is How does it happen?
I even have tempered for my camera lens to protect it from scratches and damage.
Then how come, the camera inside is the problem?
Huawei Tech Agent just advice me to replace the whole camera of my phone in my own expense. 😓 And It's around 15,000 to 16,000 in Philippine Peso. 😳
And even if it's the hardware is the issue here. If the camera inside is really the problem and need to replace.
It's should not be on our own expense because we don't do any involvement on this issue. It's just happen like magic!
Today you have clear and nice camera then the next day suddenly you have blurred camera. 🙄 What is that? What is happening on this unit? I don't get.
And if I replace the camera is there any assurance that it won't happen again? The warranty just last for 1 year.
What if after 3 years when the phone is already out of warranty, then it happens again. What now? Would you advise us another replacement of the camera?? 😒
I'm just so upset and it's saddening me. 😭 Because it's from my hard earn money. I've save up to buy this one. 🥺
I choose Huawei over iPhone even when there is an issue about Playstore banning on Huawei phone. I'd still choose to buy this one. And another reason why, because of its great camera reviews. 📸
And now I can't capture anymore memories using this phone camera because it's so blurry now. 😵
I'm a Huawei fan. But now I don't think I would buy another Huawei Gadget and trust this brand or recommend this anymore to my friends and relatives. ☹️
But I'm hoping 🙇♀️ that they would have a clear answer for this. And will come to realize and check on this problem and fix this issue on their end. 😔
I exactly have the same issue and huawei service center advised me to replace the camera. I took care of my phone for 3 years no scratch only for my camera to be ruined by the emui update totally sucks coz it's not my fault!!!

hello today i solved the camera issue no more focus i used to downgrade my software from EMUI 12 to EMUI 9.1 , i lost dual view mode and i lost the meetime capability but the camera works fine between 1x and 4.9x no more blurry photos 😍🤩im really happy despite this old software so definitely it was a software bug in the camera from huawei ☝️☝️☝️☝️

I previously bought a Huawei p30 pro because of the camera quality. But I won't buy Huawei again because of neglecting to solve problems for customers. The camera not focusing problem happened to me as well after the warranty expired.
Yes, too bad for us who trust HUAWEI. Didn't expect this to happen on my phone. Now its frequently lagging and can't connect to camera to think that I just bought it 3yrs. ago not 2nd hand but brand new. 🥺 Waste of money. Not worth to have it. 😑

Same issue from a few weeks ago, exactly the same, it won't focus, or you have to press the button several times, also sometimes it works out of nowhere. I'm never using Huawei again. I bought this phone for the solely quality of the camera, and now they just ruined it. The frontal camera works fine.

DON'T REPLACE THE CAMERA. I DID AND STILL THE PROBLEM EXIST AFTER CHARGING ME $240 AND NOW THEY SAY I'VE TO CHANGE THE MOTHERBOARD FOR $250.THEY CONFIRMED ITS A SOFTWARE ISSUE FROM HUAWEI. SO DISAPPOINTED?!!

Its not their fault, its camera problem. I took apart my p30 pro, hit main (middle) camera with finger because it was making little noise when trying to focus and it could focus normally for some time. Bought on aliexpres new main camera (1st and 2nd from above comes together) for 10e, replaced, working like a charm now.

Try to soft shocking on hand, that method not getting a fatal issue because smartphone haven't a aperture mechanism, maybe its because an electrical stock on a camera spool adjustment when all hardware is updating the new emui12

Talking with the Huawei agents over the phone was totally fine. I understand that the solution they can give is limited and that they just also follow what instructed to them base on the problem.
But for me the solution they gave me on my P30 Pro rear camera problem is not the solution for me.
Because I find it unfair. For us Huawei P30 Pro users who has this common issue on our phone. Replacing the whole rear camera is pricey and without assurance that after 3 years or so of replacing it can fix it for good.
What if I encountered this again? After I replaced the camera. Would you suggest us again to just replace our camera?
I have no fault on this issue. I took good care of my phone like it was a treasure to me, because it's from my hard earn money. And seeing my camera phone goes blurry from x1 to x50 is so upsetting and saddening me.
If I really have to replace my rear camera I would just buy another phone but not Huawei anymore.
But I would like to thank the Huawei agents for talking to me and for letting me voice out my issue on my unit.
But none of the said solution is the solution for me. Maybe it's totally the solution for the unit to fix the camera issue.
But my point is, It's unfair to me. Just bought it 3years ago brand new. That's why I can't and I don't want to shell out anymore money on my phone.

have the same problem and for sure its not fair and trust me several thousand of P30 pro users have the same problem and we don't know if it's a software or hardware issue , but i think it's a software issue bcz my phone is in a mint condition even no scratches and without any collision just the problem starts after installing EMUI 11 😥😥😥😥 9 months ago

I do have the same issue with yours. It only happens when the system upgraded then charaaaaannn! I am so disappointed really. Hoping Huawei will work on this matter seriously.

I have the same problem with mate 30 pro. My phone is 3 years old. I have a feeling they intentionally did this for us to buy the new models.
Hopefully not intentional because consumers opt to stick with P30 Pro VS newer models due to Huawei App Store still not that good compared to Google which is not present on post P30 Pro units

Mine started this today in the middle of recording a Snap, I thought it focused on some other object, now it won't focus, same like the video. I took it to the phone shop and they said replace the camera. Like everyone else, I bought this camera because of the camera and now it's useless? Looks like I will go back to Samsung.

I got same problem today, i ask someone to take photo and the problem came to me. then i try everything including adjust and try anything.
And finally got it. Well i just went to PRO mode and adjust all to automatic by clicking left most LETTER "A" and done fix already.
And if the problem return. Try go to PRO mode then it will fix by its own then return to photo. Then done.
Hope this TIPS helps you guys.

Has the problem been resolved and I still have it?
They can fix it, but you have to replace your camera and it's pricey. So for me I don't buy it, I would choose to buy another phone but not HUAWEI anymore. I'm NO to Huawei now. I should've listen to my husband, he wants for me the iPhone but I choose Huawei instead. 😑 & still now can't use my rear camera phone from x1 to x50. And now it's lagging even shutting down on its own even its fully charge. So sad.

This problem happened with my phone damn Huawei
The phone, which used to take very good photos, is now among the worst, so I switched to xiaomi 12t, it has a better camera

Ok yeah i have the same issue bla bla but hold on now. I had no focus 1x - 5x. O thaugt its mechanical because of the tiny adjustment noise it haf while filming. I smacked it few times with my finger and sometimes it was normal again. But now i guess did it too often and camera won't turn on at all sometimes. Its the world's best phone. I use otg 4tb regularly. No other can handle that shit. Now o don't have to attach it cuz there's no vids anymore cuz the cameras fucked up man. You all think just waiting will be an option? New update or some shit?

No more minecraft visuals but 4k display and mirrorless like camera adjustments now. Sony phones are known to be used decades too but without childish chinese acts. These mfs got eaven enough cash so why this radical promotion of new phones. You can't be shure what they actually do on spying.

@@kadikadi1556 i went to huawei service center they told me that i hv to change my camera the Major one and it will cost 235$ with labor fees bcz my p30 pro is not under warranty, i went back home and was angry bcz i would not pay 235$ for a 4 yrz old phone and i was certain that the problem is a software bug in the camera focus , so i tried my best to get the software version that came with the phone from the box , and i get the EMUI9.1 via Hisuite PROXY and i was shocked when my camera worked again this fuckin huawei company want me to pay 235$ for nothing they are fuckin liars

hello today i solved the camera issue no more focus i used to downgrade my software from EMUI 12 to EMUI 9.1 , i lost dual view mode and i lost the meetime capability but the camera works fine between 1x and 4.9x no more blurry photos 😍🤩im really happy despite this old software so definitely it was a software bug in the camera from huawei ☝️☝️☝️☝️

just use .9x wide..
Yes. Theres no other option but to wide upto .9 thats the only clear shot you'll get.
HEY. I JUST GET THE SOLUTION JUST CLIK PRO MODE THAN THISS ISSUE WILL BE SETTLE
I tried and it works for a while, after a minute of clicking it stops. I go to camera then tap PRO but the thing is even on PORTRAIT and PHOTO sometimes it works sometimes NOT. But often NOT. 😑
I even encounter Camera Error (Cannot connect to camera). And frequently lagging. Thanks for your discovery., Hopefully for you PRO mode always work. 📸
