  • Taz's longevity in pro wrestling is pretty amazing when you look at it. From indie wrestler, to cult icon, to wwe star to commentator and now on his own. Colt and Taz talk about how that can come to fruition . SPONSORS: DraftKings.com (CODE: WRESTLE) Topps.com

Taz was my fav wrestler in ecw, if you were watching ecw in the 90s taz had the same feel that brock does now, you didnt expect to see a match, you expected to see a fight. I think he is very underrated.

Recently discovered this show with colt. I listen to all the wrestlers podcast and I enjoy how colt doesn't seem to have an organized show. Just a natural feel to his show. Maybe I'm a mark but I love his style. Keep it up Mr cabana.

I often wonder if when TAZ made the jump to WWF in late 1999, had there been no Kurt Angle, how would his run have turned out? Because w/Austin being gone and there being no Angle, the WWF would of actually embraced the character and pushed him. Unlike having J.R. Subtlety not but him over on commentary in his debut match on PPV@MSG! Say whatever you want,TAZ was just as OVER as anyone on the ROYAL RUMBLE 2000 PPV in his debut w/ no vignettes or build up? He woulda translated to the WWF Audience Big Time w/the absence of those two guys. TAZ was definitely a victim of when he came in it was bad timing from a character perspective and he wasn't booked properly or put over.

I knew Taz's career was in trouble when he switched to windbreaker pants and a sleeveless button up, typical McMahon switcheroo on a superstar to make him a superturd! Superturd is what we have now instead of superstars with the brand split, storyline writing is terrible these days... AJ Styles and Ziggler could be another Shawn and Brett!

+Fire Marshall Bill Tazz has used smokeless tobacco for years, so that may account for the different sound in his voice.

Scott Steiner a better wrestler than taz? Hell no. And taz is a legitimate tough guy and a technical shoot fighter. Taz is awesome.

+Bill Montgomery Early 90s Scott Steiner was the most athletic wrestler in the world and did all kinds of amazing things in the ring, basically all Taz did were suplexes. And Taz has already been exposed as a not so tough guy by New Jack, Scott Steiner on the other hand is an All American.

Um all scott mostly did was suplexes, abd the most athletic move he had was the frankensteiner..

    • @speedanchor2781

Bill Montgomery The Frankensteiner requires an insanely high amount of athleticism, especially the way Steiner did it, face to face without putting the arms on the opponent or putting one leg up earlier than the other. And Steiner also did 450 splashes, the one recorded isn't a pretty one but he got the rotation. And then Steiner also did and innovated several non-suplex power moves like the Steiner Screwdriver and of course the backflip slam, arguably the hardest power move to do in wrestling. Whatever did Taz do that comes close to one of those moves? And Taz would have it easier anyway since he's shorter.

Litsen, you seem very passionate about pro wrestling, thats cool, ive been a life long fan since the early eighties. Steiner's personality in real life made me not like him in its self. He has aways had alot of the legends and other workers in the back, and is juat genuinely known for being a jerk. You like him, i lime taz, guess we will agree to disagree...

Meant to say he has been rude to legends and other wrestlers.
