what a great tune ! i had the pleasure of meeting Alex and the band last year when i was working in catering at a festival they did. I had a chat with Alex and he was down to earth and seemed a really nice guy. I mentioned i was going to finish work and come and see his set and said i was trying to get my daughter in to watch it with me, he straight away offered to sort her out a pass and true to his word he got his tour manager to come across with a pass and my 16 yr old daughter and i got to have a special dad and daughter experience listening to a great set from a band that i had made her grow up listening to in her baby seat in the back of my car. Awesome new tune from a set of guys who appreciate the fans they have.
Jo Larnach they're really nice guys. I had the pleasure of meeting Alex and Nick during the 2014 tour and they're exactly as you described. Nick also gave tickets to some fans who were at the hotel door but couldn't buy it at the time. Franz Ferdinand is a band that deserves all the success in the world
I have friends who are sort of groupies and can definitely attest to the fact that the band is super kind and loves their fans! One of the very best :)
*"There are so many songs celebrating love arriving, but we wanted to celebrate when your love for somebody goes"* -Alex Kapranos I love that the fadeout makes you feel like the love is gradually becoming more and more distant, til its all gone, but its all cheerfulness and celebration despite it.
there are some churches that have faith healers where there is the "laying of hands" on a church member who is ill or struggling. They tend to be evangelical churches and even "speak in tongues" Quite popular in the southern US. As odd as this sounds it is very real.

Because you commented on that before me. I was already like "WTF?!?" at the beginning of the video, then saw Bob in his wig... And my brain just crashed! can't stop giggling!
Well yeah, I thought that too, but a friend of mine just enlighted me on the insanely heavy critic on today's (and the '80's) 'love the other and you will be loved back' attitude, while you're just a hypocritic and selfish b**ch who wants attention so: "you're not that thing that you're doing; for the things that you do are not who you are".
No es el mejor clip que han sacado, pero mola xDDD. La canción es muy buena, este grupo tiene un repertorio legendario y no termina de llegar a las grandes masas. Espero que se los valore como merecen algún día, y mientras tanto sigan regalando temazos como este. ¡Larga vida a Franz Ferdinad!
El clip es malo a propósito, es como una parodia a esos programas de sanadores que timan a la gente. Y comparto que esta banda está muy infravalorada, ojalá tuvieran más reconocimiento :D
Franz Ferdinand are the new Beatles. Every single song they write is a hit that get stuck in your head forever and give you that "i heard this song before but i actually didn't" feeling, without falling in those cheesy four chords progression... i'm not even much into indie rock but this band with the Strokes are really something unique and beautiful
This is truly an ascending message. "For the things that you do are not who you are See the things that you do are not who you are Think of a friend And wish them love Think of an enemy And wish them more Think of every life and wish them all your love"

Damn that is awesome
This band is one of very few who still embraces the art of music video.
Such majestic saxophone
The holy sax
The best thing about this clip: the sax. And Alex kapranos as Steve Jobs (I guess?)

- Then you see him "walking on water" and someone washing his feet, like he himself is a god because he's really just a narcissist taking advantage of people who are putting all of their faith into him.
