Thank you for asking! 1) notice the engine seems to move heavy or slow when you turn the key, even with a fully charged and healthy battery 2) Sometimes it makes a loud click noise when you turn the key but the engine fails to turn. 3) You turn the key and nothing happens but the battery is good 4) Other times, the starter remains engaged when the vehicle is being driven, creating a grinding sound If you’re not sure, you can have the starter tested before buying a new one, usually auto parts stores like Autozone, Advance and others, do this for free! Haynes manual is describing method to remove starter from 4WD, where the front driveshaft is in the way.
You made this look so easy. So why am I having a hard time on the top bolt of the starter?
The other side of the starter is open, you can use some wd40 on the bolt
