    I've been surfing for hours and this video explains it so simply, with intuitive visuals to go along with it.
    well done and thank you very much!

    Flux means "flow." The units of water flow are volume divided by time.

      So what is the meaning of the term "flow of magnetic flux"?

    • @kingbred01
      @kingbred01 6 місяців тому

      Isn't necessarily volume sometimes its mass pretty much any unit divided by time (dotted)

    There is something that I'm not quite grasping here. It is understood that magnetic Flux is stagnant on its own, and yet it is described as going into or out of a given area going in or out implies movement . These are verbs/action words. Flux does not move unless one moves it. What is actually meant by The flux lines, 'B field' is going in or out?

      The coil is rotating causing the magnetic flux to enter and exit as it rotates.

    Could you explain (in an intuitive way) why "constant current induces constant magnetic field, but only changing magnetic flux induces current"? Since electric field and magnetic field are intrinsically only one thing, why constant magnetic field does not induce electric field but the reverse?

    wait I took in my class that the magnetic flux is at maximum when field lines are PERPENDICULAR, therefore sin(theta) is used not cos(theta); can someone elaborate?

    • @PhysicsHigh
      @PhysicsHigh  11 місяців тому

      Correct terminology is about the surface vector. This is the vector the area is facing. Hence flux is maximum when cos theta equals one.
      What do you have been taught is the direction of the plane versus the direction of the magnetic field. so at maximum flux the angle is now 90°. So, what you have been taught will give you the same answer, better physics terminology refers to the surface vector.

    • @Phifay34
      @Phifay34 11 місяців тому

      oh alright, but i am still skeptical about the cos, because if the vector is parallel then it won't intersect the field @@PhysicsHigh

    • @PhysicsHigh
      @PhysicsHigh  11 місяців тому +1

      @fatimahadi3845
      Think of the surface vector as the normal to the surface.
      Since flux is the number of field lines passing through the surface then this is at a maximum when the field vectors are parallel to this normal. The angle is zero at this point. This means cos0 thus = 1. Similarly if the field lines run across the surface then these very field lines are perpendicular to the normal (surface vector). Flux is 0 since cos90 = 0

    "20 magnetic field lines" a quanty of imaginary things?
    I get using the concept of field lines to visually represent field direction and line density to represent field strength. But when were not careful, way too many people end up dumber then when we started.
    Field lines are not real. Somehow, some people end up thinking
    1) they flow,
    2) or that there are magnetic vortices and ferocells are proof of it.
    3) Or dont understand why homopolor generator spining a magnet on its pole doesn't spin the magnetic field lines (that dont exist), but if you spin a conductive plate about a magnetic pole, it generates an emf between the inner radius and outer radiuss of the faraday disk.
