  • We have finally bought a digger and start on our first project. What are your thoughts on the Takeuchi?

I have a Take Tb014 20 years old and a Toyota Hilux too tow with both bulletproof and Japanese. Nice machine you got there some issues but that’s normal you made the right choice don’t care what anyone says Takeuchis are the best 👍

Hi, only just picked up on the video, if I had seen it earlier I would have still said the same. When Max is on the machine and practicing, if you turn the revs down a bit, it won't adversely affect the machine but it will slow the pump down, the machine will be smoother and give Max more time to react if by chance something goes wrong. . .. Great to see you taking the time to coach him.

Thanks Peter, haha I completely agree. If you notice I have the revs down lower than him 😂 he kept raising them lol.

    Ex Connop
machine. That would have seen a lot of work and they still use Takeuchi today so a great testament to their machines.

I learned to drive a digger while working at Ibstock Warner, it was an old rusty Poclain from 1950. They finally treated us to a far newer , bigger machine with a door and windows etcetera. That's when I got my CITB licence 1989 I believe. We actually worked back to front with a front loading bucket to load small gadge railway trucks to feed the rooftile machine! Though clay quarries are a pig when it's wet, it was the best job I ever had!!!

good machines bullet proof but they do ware pins and bushes out , me personally hate sloppy pins as you cant get anywhere near as precise , but ive been driving machines years, for someone learning i can kinda see how it could be easier as the bucket floats slightly
