2023 World Gymnastics Championships UB Medal Contenders

- These are the gymnasts that have chances to get a medal on uneven bars at the 2023 World Gymnastics Championships.
Kaylia Nemour and Qiu Qiyuan are the clear favorites to win gold, as, this season, they have the difficulty value and the scores to win competitions, even with a fall, any of them could be on the podium. The silver and bronze medal could go to a series of gymnasts who have the needed difficulty, execution, ... Rebeca Andrade, Mélanie De Jesus Dos Santos, and Alice D'Amato have been scoring well enough both internationally and in domestic competitions. The US gymnasts, Simone Biles and Shilese Jones, and also Huang Zhuofan, from China, haven't been to international competitions this year, so they only have domestic scores.
Some of the gymnasts, such as Nemour, Qiyuan, Jones,.... have been training or attempting higher D-Scores but they haven't received those higher scores in competition.
This video has been created for educational purposes, to show skills in artistic gymnastics, to teach people about all the elements of this sport, and to report on competition winners. From the name of the skills, the gymnast they're named after, the difficulty of each element, the code of points,... anything that helps understanding gymnastics.

Nina has a dislocated shoulder, and wont be competing at these worlds 😌
The routine shown for Jones is 6.5 and Neymour 7.1. Andrade can only get to 6.4 with the double double dismount.
Both Jones and Nemour have not done those D-scores routines in competition. Nemour tried but she didn't get the 7.1 at the African championships, "only" a 6.9. She might try here, though. We'll see.

@@ilaria.acquaroli Unfortunately, it's not about appealing the D-Score, as the skill was devalued because she needed to turn before catching the bar, but she caught before turning. If she polishes the skill, she might get the right value, and therefore the higher D-Score. I think, that, if they hit, the bars champion will be either Nemour or Qiuyan.
@AnaSnakes she didnt, this is one of the most turning, look at gadirovas one in 2022 world were she appellated and she got it, it was definitely less rotated, same as the black
@@ilaria.acquaroli Actually that's wrong. Jessica Gadirova didn't get credit for her "Kononenko", which was downgraded to a Tkatchev every single time she did it. She got a 5.6 D-Score in quals, team final and AA (she didn't make it to UB finals). As for Kaylia, she can do better but she didn't when she went for the 7.1. I hope she pulls it off in Antwerp.
