- Chris Hacker, Joseph Goza, Brent Qualls, Brian Meese, Sergio Pagni, Jacob Marlow, Dave Cousins, and Mike Schloesser compete in the Men's Open Pro division finals at the 2019 Lancaster Archery Classic.
I am fortunate enough to know Chris Hacker personally. Truly a great guy! I was so excited & happy for him that he did so well! He had a tough road to go down, but had a great showing! Congrats to Jacob! Good shooting for all the contestants!
Steve, I appreciate you guys in the booth giving us commentary and sharing your thoughts and prior experiences. Thank you.
I tip the hat to Dave Cousins. Only a 2 point deficit w/a near 20 year age difference. And a near PERFECT (658) Qualifier. Primes CT 9 working just fine.
Borrowed release. Stock elite strings. Surface rust bolts on limb pockets. Sir you deserve it goes to show if you can shoot damnit you can just shoot
I hope Mr. Perfect can figure out that "final arrow punch"... been fighting it for a while and its gotta be killin him!!!

I love the instinctive archery shooting
Do you think you guys can bump up the resolution so we can read the scoreboard on our phones? At least for next year
Way to go Jacob huge props man .
" Marlow The Arrow "
Does anyone know, is Dave left eye dominant? Obviously he is shooting right handed, but is he looking through his peep with his left eye? It looks like he sets the string on the left of his nose to sight with his left eye.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy in the sport !
Man i felt that when mike struggled with that last arrow. That arrow just had to much weight on it, Great shooting nonetheless.
Not familiar with this competition, how is it fair for hacker to shot all those arrows to get knocked out by someone coming in fresh? Seems very unfair to me
So the way the tournament works is we run what's called a "shoot-up" finals. After qualification and elimination rounds, the archers are ranked 1 through 8 like any other tournament. In most tournaments, Hacker would have had no chance to try to win the whole event because he was seeded 8th. In our tournament, the 8th seed shoots against the 7 seed...the winner then shoots against the 6 seed....and the winner of that shoots against the 5 seed...and on up until someone shoots against the No. 1 seed. We are the only tournament where an 8 seed has the chance to win it all, but that archer has to win 7 matches to do it. The value of qualifying first is you only have to shoot one match, but the value of qualifying 8th is you still have a crack at the top prize. It's a harder road to the prize, but you do have a chance. (Check the Men's Open division finals where the No. 8 seed did, in fact, win the whole thing) In all other tournaments, 1 would shoot against 2 for the top prize and that would be the end of it. If you ask the archers, they like our format because all they have to do is get into the bracket, and then they have a chance.
How's this differ from the Carter Attraction?
Does anyone know what sight light jacob is using
I only recently started shooting both eyes open. It's weird cuz every local shooter and shop worker I asked said not many shoot that way. Watching all these guys it seems it's not.
ParaVet ...yeah man, pretty much everyone I have ever shot with shoots with both eyes open. Though some will put a blinder on either their sight or hat/glasses to prevent double vision
anyone else think steve sounds exactly like joe rogan?
I thought the whole time it was Joe haha
I wanted to say it...thought I had a cast playing over this..ha ha
Jacob, my fave #1 🏆
Where is Bowhunter class ?
Coming shortly!
Chris is smashing it
how many pounds are they pulling back?
nicholas erker 60-85 I’m assuming
How come they didn't post the bowhunter class this year, dang it look frwd to that all year , was actually thinking about giving it a go after talking to lancaster this year, but then bow hunt or die guys said something about if you hit the red you may as well pack up n go home. Not exactly what I wanted to hear , seriously everybody has to just have an off shot once in a great while right ? I mean I shoot probably more than some pro's at like 2 some times 3 hrs aday and on my days off I can shoot all day , with a few breaks here & there. And yes once in awhile I have a bad shot !
Bowhunter division video is coming....
No participation trophies at this shoot, sir.
If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.
Go shoot it next year, have fun, and see where you stack up.
@@jamespskowski432 well that's good wasn't asking for one! Just saying there aint one person out there that never misses .
These guys are the best of the best, they live and breathe archery. I'm sure they miss sometimes during practice (everyone does), but they really thrive under pressure. Take a shot at it, when push comes to shove you might find you fit right in!
Jacob got to that point with a hunting bow axle to axle prolly less than 30 but regardless very impressive
1 of these days that guy is gonna catch his tooth on his string and its gonna rip that tooth out lol.
How was hackers bow so quiet?
Limiter586 my guess is lower poundage or heavy arrow !
what release is Brian Meese using?
Sounds like he said Carter Lucky
❤
The buzzer after the shot is so FRKIN ANNOYING.......!
