Few days back You have explained similar strategy of investing larger amounts in the stock as it falls so that the average price comes very near to the present price. Only drawback is you need larger amount in your account. Previously you had explained it in much easier way. This is very useful and safe strategy. Thank you. But this is to be followed only in shares that are fundamentally strong.

This is averaging and nothing else.... this is applicable when stock is falling. Please tell us how to do pyramiding when stock is going up. for example. I bought a 100 quantity @100/- now after one year the stock is trading at 200/-. Now I want buy more. How much I should buy and at what price which will not much affect my profit and average acquisition price. there can't be a maths formula but a rough calculation based on experience and wisdom is required. Because lot of stocks have given 4/5 times returns and they are still rising. We old time investors want to buy more but we are afraid of disturbing our average price.... what to do?
