Those bars are so widely spaced they'd allow the windshield to be easily smashed plus they'd make a good ladder for mutants to climb all over the vehicle. I've seen real riot-proofed vehicles in Central America and the window coverings are typically made from expanded metal. Also unless those are run-flat tires that could be a real problem. This thing's more like a movie prop than a real SHTF vehicle.
The thing is that this guy could have easily made this beast a little bit more secure if he had more money to work with. I have a buddy who did the same but on a Ford Pickup truck 3500 and he invested nearly $100,000 to make it nearly bullet resistant level 4. Down from enhancing the chassis to making the motor a little bit stronger and the tires huge it’s all worth it. I mean a car will always go down in value, but if it’s for surviving it’s definitely worth it.
