The trans tune alone transformed my ranger raptor. The extra power is hilarious. Its so much more pleasent to drive in S mode now. I have an aftermarket intercooler and piping, so mine actually made MORE power. So that means, the ford tune is actually being throttled by the tiny stock IC.
did a quick search the other day it appears that both the Raptor and the F150 3.5 use the same turbos and heads. Didnt dig too into things but there was always the rumor the two shared the same turbos from the start of the 14th gen. Some of us 14gen folks think the difference between the two from the get go was software. Now Ford Performance seems to be back tracking on the standard 3.5 numbers last time I looked dropping the standard F150 tune to mimic stock Raptor numbers
After comparing the steeda website and the ford performance website, it looks like it was a typo on the graphs just like they messed up the hp and the torque lines. The standard f150 only peaks at 510 and 450 hp. Still cool, but not as suggested in video, not his fault, the charts were inaccurate. So it's actually not the same as raptor hp and torque with the tune. Kinda makes me think tho, ford can't get the stupid graphs and information correct on the website, is the tuner screwed up too???? I'm still gonna buy it tho!!😂
Tired of people saying it cuts the waranty. It doesnt. I still have my extended waranty on mine after the tune, PER FORD. Not just the dealer, but the waranty dept called the corpos, its true. So fuckin knock it off. If you dont understand what they mean by the 3yr, then ASK dont just assume.
Such a huge disappointment with the F150 Raptor tune! Especially knowing what aftermarket tuners have been doing with the 3.5 since the Gen 2 trucks. I have a 24’ that I’ve put 10k miles on already. I’m eager to dial up the performance but 825 bucks for those numbers? Dollar/performance ratio just isn’t there yet. Hopefully the aftermarket will jail break these ecu soon
No it doesnt. Talked not only to my dealer, but the higher ups, through their waranty dept. It DOES NOT CUT YOUR WARANTY. And i even still retained my extended 100k.
So stupid. Why don’t they just program the vehicles with it at the factory. Nothing for the 5.0 yet and even then, you’d be required to run 93. Or get the Oz tune that doesn’t require 93 and actually wakes the truck up. All this tells me is they are charging you extra for the power it already makes. Kind of scumbaggy

That’s awesome. Thank you for the comment.
What type of inter cooler are you running . I'm thinking of doing same thing to bronco raptor

I am glad its a mess up! They need to bump these numbers up a lot on the Raptor tune!

My thoughts too, it is a bummer...but I hear Ford is working a better tune for it.
@@CTECH-REVIEW oh that is good news! Any idea on timeframe to release?
Not even close to RHO 😂
More recalls coming in the future for Ford. Ford leads in recalls 3 years running. Jim Farley should be replaced.
Yikes!
you get the 3.5 because you cant get the 3.0 in the f150
3.0 would be perfect engine in the F150
To be clear it cuts your factory warranty down to 3 years and 36k miles.
yes very true!
What is it normally
Can you buy an extension from somewhere like granger normally?

@@herpderp1662 did you get that in writing?
Sure did
