Have to disagree with you on Trent. Trent is one of the most naturally gifted footballers in the premier league and would be one of the first names on the team sheet for every club. It makes perfect sense to keep him at RB and transition him into midfield when Liverpool have the ball from a tactical point. I don't think Liverpool have lost a game since this change was made. He made a mistake today which had nothing to do with his defensive ability, just a small lapse of concentration. Now the narrative is on his defensive side and all his decent defensive work goes unnoticed - he's not perfect at it but his passing range, ability on the ball, set pieces etc more than makes up for it.
There's a reason every opponent goes down his side. He's a TERRIBLE defender. He has moments where he does well, but he's a defender he should have more than a couple moments per season. He is one of the 3-5 best passers in the world. DeBruyne level, but he is an automatic chance for opponents and if the CB's aren't essentially perfect he creates huge problems for his teammates. If he was even adequate defensively you deal with it because of how good he is going forward but he isn't. I've been saying this for the past 2 seasons, has nothing to do with today...well other than he is being talked about. I wish he was better it would make a HUGE difference but it will probably never happen.

The TAA tirade was insanely spot off. TAA has been a part of one of the best teams ever. His mistake today was a typical «shit happens» thing, nothing to do with him being shit defensively. considering how much TAA is target it’s honestly impressive how well he still does.
I disagree with both Mark and you on this. These mistakes Trent is making (last week at Bournemouth and this past week against Newcastle) aren't anything to do with his defensive ability. But they are representative of his lack of focus and poor judgement on the pitch. I'm a Liverpool fan, I love Trent, but he needs competition to keep him on top of his game. Complacency is making him a liability.
His defensive frailties are greatly exaggerated. He isn't the best defender, but last season, he was exposed far more because the players around him were miles off it. He actually defended Gordon well in spells yesterday.
@@_newmantube_ I strongly agree with this take. Put Trent on a random midtable team and ask him to spend 90% of his effort defending and he would do okay. Not great. But okay. In fact, did attacking down the left all day long, when Trent had to do a lot of 1v1s because the Reds were down to 10 men, did that buy Newcastle much? Nope. Yet people are criticizing his defending him, out of habit. Trent has concentration lapses because he is asked to do more than 90% of the RBs in this league would ever dream of attempting. His duties are simply harder. Sliding back and forth between RB, RCDM, RAM is harder that just playing RB. In fact, one of the reasons Newcastle lost is they did not have a defender who could move forward and help maintain the momentum of the attack the way Trent can. (Perhaps Howe should have subbed on an AM, but that is another matter.) As for targeting Trent last season, if Klopp starts Hendo, Fabinho, Matip, I am targeting the RB all day long, regardless of who he is. He could be a world class defender's defender, but I know he is easy to isolate and beating him will pay dividends.

Amazing character shown by Liverpool to stay in the game for so long with 10 men. Yes, we were lucky, Newcastle should've had at least one other goal by the time Nunez came on. But it just shows that if they leave the door open, we'll take our chances. Yes, Trent is a defensive liability. I keep hoping he'll improve, because Klopp clearly likes him for his attacking qualities. I don't see him picking another right back consistently this season. Andy Robertson was very poor today as well. Perhaps as bit less obvious, but nothing he did really amounted to anything today. Your honest opinion when it comes to other clubs and fair assessments despite being a die hard Man Utd supporter is appreciated. In regards to Trent, I have been making comments now for two years that we need to invest in a starting right back if we want to win the league. Move Trent elsewhere for his offensive contributions, but we need to lock down that right side of the defense if we want to be challenging again. I love the lad, Liverpool born and bred, but his defending is not up to snuff. Without his offensive contributions he would be a bench player. Keep up the good work and honest assessments. Cheers.
Love mark he calls it how he sees it. Wouldn’t even know you despised Liverpool because he’ll still take our side when he sees shocking officiating. Gotta love him for that
At 6:28 minutes, Newcastle is falling out of favour and receiving a psychological drubbing. The Red's ten men scoring *TWICE* while winning at St James's is traumatic. The Toon's time will tell tales of the ticking down this season. Liverpool is shaking up the world, resurrecting the depressed, dazzling minds and casting ennui to the ethers.
Now I don't like a lot of man United fans, but goldbridge I can respect because even though he doesn't support Liverpool he can still admit officiating issues when refs make dodgy decisions, and can also respect when our players do well

Salah was as much to blame as Trent poor pass back . And don’t think as a Man Utd fan you’ve got space to slag Trent off. We pick him cause he’s world class . Why does maguire get picked for England ? If you wanna ask questions
Alisson is insane, saves, assists and can even score if he need to. Don’t know any other goalkeeper who can do what he does. Without Alisson we’re fighting for possibly a conference league spot.
Not a Red Card. Never a Red last season but as usual they have to tweak things around for the Refs at the beginning of every season and this time around it's all about Red Cards and Yellows for time wasting. What a match in the end!
Trent plays the way Klopp wants him too, he's often the player the furthest up the pitch, hence the space in behind him, but the job of the midfielder is to cover the space in behind him. We've struggled with the Midfielders doing this job recently.
Trent going forward is awesome going forward with konate he gets that defence cover and we create a back three with robo van dyk and konate if we buy another defensive minded midfielder to cover we gonna be fire🎉

I love the lad, Liverpool born and bred, but his defending is not up to snuff. Without his offensive contributions he would be a bench player. Keep up the good work and honest assessments. Cheers.
Mark, Trent may lose us the odd goal but how many goals does he setup and assist.
Love mark he calls it how he sees it. Wouldn’t even know you despised Liverpool because he’ll still take our side when he sees shocking officiating. Gotta love him for that
The saltiness of this guy is marvellous, bless him.
Who's being salty? Pretty sure he was complimentary to both sets of players. Watch the video, dummy.
Dear Jaseetridge 4802: Bless Mark's shtick and savvy *Silicon Valley stipend sucking style* and system.

@@eddyvideostar Another waffle comment. Just stop commenting bro. You make zero sense.
@@kevone08: Are you sure you can understand what the words mean -- and what my point is?
I swear Mark secretly supports Liverpool.
As a Liverpool fan .I have to say I like listening to you 😊
likewise, fuuny that I prefer watching/listening to him than most of the Liverpool supporter's channels.
starting from 5:55 was the unbelievable Allison save!
Just curious does he track the times James or walker fucks up??
Ofc not lol Trent agenda gives him more engagement
Right😂 walker gave away a goal just earlier today
Nunez give me goosebumps man
Last time i checked out his reaction was the 7-0.
Great Job Mark as always unbiased unlike many other casters… lol
"How are we supposed to function as fans?"
Today both Barca and Liverpool did a amazing comeback
Lfc showed a lot of heart .. ynwa since 04 but Camp Nou is my second home and was watching the score for barca what a great day
@@thomassomartinsame brother same what a day 😭
Who gives a toss about Barca.
@@giovanni6636 you did tho 😭
At 6:28 minutes, Newcastle is falling out of favour and receiving a psychological drubbing.
The Red's ten men scoring *TWICE* while winning at St James's is traumatic.
The Toon's time will tell tales of the ticking down this season.
Liverpool is shaking up the world,
resurrecting the depressed,
dazzling minds and
casting ennui to the ethers.
So true it was 2 sensational finishes by Nunez
If Trent ever gets as bad as harry maguire, then we should worry.
what a master stroke from Klopp, , Nunez in midfield and Gomez left wing 😅
6 minutes, 37 seconds: “Liverpool could be on the end of a drubbing here.”
+ Trent made a goal mate he won us the game and his the best passer in the league
Now I don't like a lot of man United fans, but goldbridge I can respect because even though he doesn't support Liverpool he can still admit officiating issues when refs make dodgy decisions, and can also respect when our players do well
That's why they keep picking him. Defiantly Liverpools true captain. Pure class when he had the armband
Midfield splitting pass for the 2nd goal too!
@@connorf4035*1st
Nice to see a united fan have faith in Nunez
Nunez god no 😂😂😂😂 GUTTED MARK 😂
Ronnie 1202: Mark has no skin in the game. He is a showman. His reactions are fake.
However, Blessings to Mark's shtick and savvy Silicon Valley *stipend-sucking style* and system.

One of my favorite YT channel out there. Coming from a Liverpool FC fan to a MUFC fan, i like my media neutral if not borderline critical and you sir are waaaaaaaaayyyy up there compared to the pure "LFC" guys out there. Keep up the good work
5 minutes in and Goldbridge loving life. 105 minutes in deservedly gutted :)
Mark is the most balanced pundit out there.
The Wolves one was a penalty too😂 where's the consistent??😂😂
Shush it Oil FC 🤫

"crtl v copy and paste" that got me dyingg🤣🤣
He is obviously not too happy when Nunez scored!😂😂
That wasn't bad defending by Trent, we all know hes usually reliable in possession & that happens to loads of players
Great finishing from Darwin, no easy tappings!!
Spot on about refereeing, they need to be held accountable
"Put a cat amongst the peigons and call his Nunez"
Lol
Really good game, fair play to Liverpool they were the better team today.
Love this guys unbiased views refreshing to listen to.
This fixture is a must watch
Salah was as much to blame as Trent poor pass back . And don’t think as a Man Utd fan you’ve got space to slag Trent off. We pick him cause he’s world class . Why does maguire get picked for England ? If you wanna ask questions
Darwin Nunez clutched today❤️⚽️
As a Newcastle fan I’m absolutely gutted but Nunez was absolute class. A deserved win I have to say. We need to take a lesson from this .
how does it feel glad Nunez is not at Man ure
Trent is the worst right full back yet Liverpool beat you 7-0 and kept a clean sheet Word
Deluded mancs
Alisson is insane, saves, assists and can even score if he need to. Don’t know any other goalkeeper who can do what he does. Without Alisson we’re fighting for possibly a conference league spot.
Not a Red Card. Never a Red last season but as usual they have to tweak things around for the Refs at the beginning of every season and this time around it's all about Red Cards and Yellows for time wasting. What a match in the end!
Am not shocked about this result .Liverpool are capable of results like this .Well done Liverpool
"Put a cat amongst the pigeons and call it Nunez" LOL peak Alan Partridge style comedy there.
Huge Liverpool fan Mark... love watching your stuff.. highly entertaining and some true valed points you Chuck out.
As a Liverpool fan I'm ashamed to say I like this guy goldbridge 😂🤦🏻♂️..
Same 😂
Trent plays the way Klopp wants him too, he's often the player the furthest up the pitch, hence the space in behind him, but the job of the midfielder is to cover the space in behind him. We've struggled with the Midfielders doing this job recently.
Trent going forward is awesome going forward with konate he gets that defence cover and we create a back three with robo van dyk and konate if we buy another defensive minded midfielder to cover we gonna be fire🎉
7pts is a great start especially with two tough away fixtures
The rules state its only a red if its NOT a genuine attempt at the ball. It absolutely was a genuine attempt at the ball therefore its a yellow card.
Agreed I don’t get how the make new rules and not follow them
Best line in this video.
"I watch Liverpool every week"
darwiiizy will be on fire this coming season
That shut the geordies up buddy 😂😂❤
Goldbridge slating Liverpool 7...0 hahahah
Massive liverpool fan here , fair play goldbridge is a utube star , love your content brother 👏 👌 👍
How did they lose vs 10 men and leading 1-0 at half time at home. Thats the ultimate piss take😂😂😂
Liverpool win and I immediately want to go see what Goldbridge had to say. Liverpool fan but I totally rate Mark Goldbridge..... Especially when the lose but an absolute unbias football fan and pundit.
Same here.. Love this guy. He is the only unbiased guy I knew so far
Yeah he’s a great personality, that said I always hope United lose because that is when he is the funniest
Orders of magnitude better than Gary Neville.
Goldbridge is the most biased Man United fan there is what you on?
I'm at home with my mother in law and she completely knows who Darwin Nunez is now cause I shouted his repeated and vehemently both time he scored, I'm so so happy!!!! I'm so proud to be a Liverpool fan.
Never give up
Honestly, trent gives me lovren vibe defensively... he seriously needs to focus on improving awareness on the pitch and touch...
1:10 if you want to skip all the rubbish at the start
Alison was too good in this game..
"I've aaaalways said that Nunez will be a good player. Him delivering... It doesn't make me feel good." Man. I can relate hahaha.
Trent Agenda is crazy, he did nothing wrong defensively this game and Mark says it's bad defending off a poor touch? It's just the thing to say.
He let Gordon in, what you talking about ? That was a major mistake. You could tell Trent was off the pace, because his passing was bad.
Huh? Trent was literally the reason behind the first goal from Newcastle. He was terrible
@@Anu-po5mlwhat else did he do wrong
@@est.guillermoalejandroaria4080defensively other than his mistake trent was decent. Idk why people are mentioning his passing though which wasn't his worst issue
Always the same, they watch his defending under a microscope looking for any mistake and jump on it, when he pulls off a great bit of defending they're silent. That being said, today's first half he was pretty shit, but I think that was a mix of the bizarre start and Gordon playing like Vinicius Jr.
2 cracking goals
DARWIZZZY
Gotta hand it to them. Class from liverpool AND Darwin Nunez 🤝🏽✨
