You missed an important detail on the brake rubbers. Every rubber should always be right between two large spacers. Never stack a rubber onto another rubber or in your case a small spacer. It's all explained in the manual.
This video is my constant reference for little tweaks and adjustments to my set of sprints. Very well done, thanks for this. I am sure lots of us appreciate this information. Cheers
I was searching for this ! Thanks my man ! 🏁
I needed this video right now.
Thanks so much 🙏🏼 🍻
Thanks ,just got mine this video really helped with setup .
thank you for this guide, i was stressing out about adjusting mine incase i broke something.
you just earned a new subscriber! ♥
Very helpful. Just had my first day with these pedals and my right knee is so sore. Need to do some serious softening of the accelerator. Would be nice if HE offered optional throttle springs, softer or harder than the ones they normally ship with.
thank you for the video! i was able to adjust the throttle travel from notch 3 to 2. im new to heusinkveld sprint pedals. just upgraded from fanatec v3 inverts
I need to soften the breaks... any clue how to soften them? 😱 i dont have even 1 cm till it gets ultra heavy :o i absolutely need more room till it gets heavier...
Excellent video, so helpful thanks
Thx needed this just bought mine yesterday
Very helpful dude. Congrats
thank you for the video. this was a great video
Thanks. Very clear. I will try. Sometimes my brakes lock in rfactor2.
Very helpful thanks man
Thanks for this!
Hello once again! I love your in depth videos! I am looking to get the Heusinkveld ultimate + pedals this year but once again I'm worried about compatibility. I am seeing a lot of game where forum posts are coming up with pedals not being detected, not mapping, or only some of them working, or the worse case everything works until you get in game and a full pedal push is only doing 30-50% power. How often have you struggled to get them to work on all different games outside of Dirt rally, AC, PC2, and iracing? I am looking for playing some of the more arcade games as well like crew 1/2 , grid, and such.
Great info thanku
Nice work Larry! If I didn't have my Main Performance Hydraulic Sim Pedals, I definitely would have a set of Sprints! A few years back at irace4life I tried out the Ultimate pedals and I was blown away by how well I could Modulate each pedal, so Solid! Glad to see you with Amazing Pedals, Enjoy!!!👍
Hi Larry finally upgrading my gear. Sprint pedals arrive in 5 days. Still haven’t ordered the SC2 Pro as yet. Waiting for the Asher wheel to become available so I can get at a discount. Looking forward to putting these on my K2 rig
Question about the throttle Preload nut. I see after you loosen it, it just sits a little further up. It's ok to leave it like that? No need to tighten up the nut I guess. (Not referring to preload wheel that your turning with your finger). Just the nut that sits above it.
how can you know which rubber is making which pressure? which is the softer system with the most brake pedal travel?
Can't wait to use mine haha, they come this week, i come from Fanatec v3 with brake kit
@@TJRSIM i hope so haha, and think also yes. See a lot of good comments about the sprints 😀
@@TJRSIM btw, did you change something on the rubbers or trottle ? Or still default ? Did you test some other rubbers
@@jeroenschilderink7894 Yeap. I changed them all around. Tested a few combos for a week each. Settled on what I have now which is a tad bit of initial travel followed by stiff rubbers. Would have to look again to see what the combo is.
@@TJRSIM yeah ok haha, tonight i have them and will test it haha. Thanks for the info, i shall see what i do 😁
Thanks for the review! Is there a thing as too much or too little preload? I’m not sure how much preload to add I’m on a strong preload right now but it feels like the pedal is barely moving pushing down
No you can just adjust it to your licking. The stiffer you make it the less actual travel it will have. You are basically just compressing the elastomers to make the travel. So the harder the elastomer you use the less travel you will get. Maybe play with it more. Try some softer elastomers and set your pedal pressure in the software somewhere like 45kg. Then adjust the elastomer to the travel you like to equal that 45kg of load cell pressure. Hope that makes since.
Hi Thanks for the vid, quick question though, on the clutch pedal, can it be modified to be on the longest travel but as soft as on the shortest travel?
Hello. This should be possible. I have mine set on longest travel, but stiff Spring. There is only so much less you can make the spring travel though. Hope this helps.
Great video, but I need a bottom plate (black plate) that you had very thing connected too. How do I get a plate like that?
Ahh. So the black plate is what comes with your rig. So know my black MTG plate is from my Sim Labs rig. Either way which ever rig you use that’s your mounting plate. Hope this helps
Thank you for making this video, I got the HK sprints and I love them, but my throttle travel is just too long! Now I know how I change em, but that means I need to remove em from my rig :( :sigh:
Thanks for watching and glad to help. Yeah, it's a pain to remove from the rig. My new setup allows me to walk around my rig to my pedals to make adjustments, but I know what you mean, For years I didn't have that option.
Yakity sax is the song!
Hi. Does the Simetik pedal deck come ready drilled for the sprint baseplate. Thanks
Jeff Nazer Hello. So unfortunately not. Here is my how to vid for it though. Works perfect with using 4 of the front mounting bolt hole that are easier to get to. ua-cam.com/video/754SUn-bBIU/v-deo.html
I would like to know how to loosen the break pedal.... i mean there is not even 1 cm before the brake gets tooo hard! I play f1 only and i would like to have more room to press the break pedal... but there is not even 1 cm till it gets very stiff 😱😱 hope someone can help me!
Well done sir. OK I'm ready to move on from the v3's. Top 2 suggestions?
Well, HE Sprints of course. Hmm, the second choice maybe HE Ultimates or if your I that price range something with an actually hydraulic cylinder. Honestly, though I don't really have a desire past the Sprints. They do a really good job. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@TJRSIM Thanks figured I'd spend a little more and go with ultimates
@@camerawithwings8607 well done my friend. Well done! Let me know how you like them.
@@TJRSIM when I try to load smart control software it says device not found, any ideas
@@camerawithwings8607 Try plugging the pedals into a different USB. It doesn't need to be USB 3.0 either. Then relaunch the program again. Hope this helps.
great!
for me 3rubber even for gt car i find that we control better just my opinion
with only one is pretty difficult,we don't feel anything on
the return of the pedal
I also can control my brake pressure with a lot more control with more rubbers. Currently, I'm using 2 and 2 bushings. It's a little stiffer, but I can trail brake a lot better now and don't over brake during oh $hit moments. lol
TJRSim Just to clarify, do you mean that you’re using 2 rubbers (Medium+Small) plus 2 hard plastic spacers? I believe that takes you to one level stiffer than the default, right? I’m trying to set up my pedals now and would love your take!
@@danielha9396 just got back home and checked. Yeap I'm using the med (2nd to longest one) seen at 14:06 and one small rubber bushing with 2 hard plastic bushings seen at 12:56. This makes it pretty stiff. About 1+ level stiffer than stock setup. It's fun to play around with it. Been using this for a while and like it for controlling trail braking or easing off the brake to stop lock up without releasing the brake too much. Better for panic braking to.
TJRSim thanks! That’s helpful. I think I’m going to start with -1 level from default (XL+S and one hard plastic piece) since it felt super tough out of the box. I am mostly running lighter cup cars in the sims and I’m trying to get the feel as close to what I’m used to on the track.
I’m going with pretty minimal preload as well which it looks like you’re doing
@@danielha9396 Awesome. Glad to help. Yeah, these pedals or so versatile and easy to adjust.
Larry I ordered my pedals I'm gonna go with the dd1 wheel n base do I need to ground my pedals
Awesome and congrats! You won't need to ground the pedals at all. They will plug into your USB separately from the DD1. The DD1 has it's own protection for RFI bleeding so you will be good to go. Be sure to use my Affiliate link to help out the channel for Fanatec goo.gl/oWRku6
Let me know how you like it all.
Hey larry when u order huesinkveld pedals do u have to transfer money into their account I couldnt enter my bank card info into their system I just created an invoice for a set of the ultimates but they sent me their bank Info I chooses direct bank transfer
On the brake can I change the first 2 hard plastic pieces out for the rubber an is that the softest setting
I’ll have to look again for the softest setting but yes you can do that. You just want to make sure you end up with the same overall height as stock to get the correct travel. Be sure to re-calibrate the brake in the software afterwards. Have fun!
@@TJRSIM thx man I was able to swap it n recal in 3 mins w watching ur videos
If my left knee is sore, would you recommend softening the brake?
@@TJRSIM what did you think of the next softest setting snd the total softest? Any recommendation?
@@vividpsychosis8222 I think they are too soft for me, but feel fine when using. I just like more resistance.
You like these or the original Heusinkveld pro pedals?
Never got the privilege to try the pros, but its hard to believe I would need more then these with all the adjustments and feel I get with them. Although I would love to test the ultimate to compare.
@@TJRSIM ooh okay, i was thinking about getting sprints too because i don't need the force or what you call them on brakes and so forth on the ultimates as i'm not really interested in simulating driving in a race car.
is there a way to have shorter Clutch travel?
No I do not think so. Not without loosing the push over effect. You can set the software to engage and disengage at a much shorter range though.
Hey here's a smart little trick that's helpful.....when the wife isn't looking take her nail polish and use it to make a line on your nuts or tension knobs to determine how far or how many turns you are adjusting it....you can also use a second color for the 180 degree setting on the nut/knob as well!.....just remember to put the polish back where ya found it when your done!
The XL + M combination provide the softest feel. Here is a chart for the rubber combinations and pressure curve: www.simrace-blog.nl/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/heusinkveld_brake_stiffness-1024x384.png.
