It's because they used WIll's version on the album as well as for Doll, Up In Arms, and The Colour and The Shape
Yeah, because that whole Taylor thing sure backfired.
not on this one - there's some key accents that Dave did that are pretty key to the song i.e. the 3 big double stop hits before the choruses.

Still a dick move. Still unwarranted since the drum parts are the same as on the album; Gil was just being a sperglord control freak and Dave was too insecure to not micromanage the drumming.
