Everyone in the clans: "So like... find Riverclan it's leader now?"
This was really good and encapsulates the plot between Curl, Splash, and Frostbby perfectly. I especially like how everything is just a little disorienting with the textures and colors. Curlfeather knew what she was doing and landed herself in cat hell for it, and she knew that. Very interesting indeed.
i literally sobbed when i read she manipulated her own daughter such a plot twist and we don't see it that often, makes her such an interesting character. frostpaw deserves better :(
This is remarkable. Curlfeather is a lot more interesting as a character than I gave her credit for. Here it seems she almost got lost in her goal for leader, even going as far to use her own daughter for that sole purpose. Now the last part where she gets Frostpaw to safety, I feel Curlfeather now realized to an extent the weight of her actions, and that she does truly care about her daughter, just as, if not even more than her goal to be leader. ''You can't cry for help, when your this close to hell...'' sends chills down my spine. Curlfeather's expression as she is about to see her life and the weight of her decisions flash before her eyes. It's almost as if she KNEW what she was doing would send her to hell.
This still doesn't change the fact Frostpaw deserves so much better though-

The fact that Curlfeather manipulated Frostpaw into becoming a medicine cat just os she could be leader is horrid. But then again, she makes a good medicine cat

(Mild spoilers I guess? Actually haven’t read Thunder just seeing what I’ve read through forums and whatnot)
I love love love the various textures you used! It all seems so disorienting yet vaguely cozy , kind of like Frostpaw’s visions as she struggles to believe the truth about her mother. THE DOG ABOUT TO CHOMP RIGHT THROUGH CURLFEATHER is such GOOD symbolism!! I simply can’t get over how GOOD YOUR DESIGNS ARE!

this is so soft, frosty is so lovely here, her expressions are so naive and innocent its adorable !!! also highlighting your color choices and shading, as not only are they fantatsic as per us,, BUT compliment the emotions of each scene incredibly well !! basil kat you never stop winning

Can someone please explain the story here :0 idc if im getting spoiled-I just want some knowledge on the new arc since I’m still on the broken code
Yeah! So Frostpaw (the gray one) is Riverclan’s new medicine cat apprentice. Encouraged by her mother, Curlfeather (brown with pink eyes) she tells the clan about her visions and becomes mothwing’s apprentice.
During a clan meeting, Mistystar dies, and Reedwhisker is out on patrol (getting murdered). With no clan leader, Frostpaw and Mothwing become leader while they wait for a sign from Starclan. Frostpaw receives one that puts Curlfeather as leader, and takes her to get her nine lives. During, dogs attack and Curlfeather sacrifices herself for Frostpaw.
Later, Frostpaw learns she never had a connection with Starclan and has been manipulated by Splashtail (guy who kills Reedwhisker) and Curlfeather. A bunch of other plot stuff happens but this pmv is mostly focusing on how Curlfeather did all these evil schemes and manipulated Frostpaw, and got so close to her goal, but couldn’t bring herself to let Frostpaw die.

Guys, did curlfeather kill her mate to make frostpaw a medicine cat apprentice? (Feel free to let me know if this doesn't work as a headcannon, I'm too lazy to check.)
It’s not canon as far as we know but it does work as a headcanon as we don’t actually see his death happen!
Officially Jayclaw died in an accident (I think it was a flood ?)
But since Curlfeather was evil enough to manipulate Frostpaw and kill Reedwhisker it don't seem that unlikely to think that she organized Jayclaw's death (Because she didn't wanted to have him interphere in her plan ?)
It would be a cool plot actually. Curlefeather finding out that Jayclaw is not going to be by her side of she decides to go on with her plan. So with another cat (Maybe Podlight or Duskfur since Splashtail would have been like 7-8 moons old at the time) she killed him and covered the murder as an accident.
Then , to make the death less suspicious she would have gaslighted Frostkit to make her believe she had a vision of her father "accidental" death (To avoid having anyone think that it was a murder)

@@Cromazone No, not in StarClan. She saw Curlfeather solo after she died, but Curlfeather was coming from the Dark Forest. At some point in Shadow or Thunder, a bunch of RiverClan cats of StarClan like came around Frostpaw, and she was confused as to why there were all these important RiverClan cats (Riverstar, Mistystar, etc.) but not her mother. She asked why her mother wasn't there, but StarClan avoided the question. Later, when Frostpaw meets with Riverstar alone, she comes to the realization that her mother helped murder Reedwhisker, and Riverstar comes to confirm it. When he does, she suddenly realizes that she never saw her mother among the StarClan cats because her mother _wasn't_ among the StarClan cats.
