Here in NZ, they have heavily discounted these about half price. They were just under $80K, now just under $40K. Presumably, due to low sales as I don't see any on the road yet. They're cool, but really limited market.
It's nice to drive but who would buy one? Most driving enthusiasts I feel would also be a bit more interested in the aesthetic aspect, which kind of leans into Mr Beans car side-character territory.....
@edenakasha7574 If someone cut a hole in the roof and attached a deck chair. With some added broom handles tied to the pedals. Some great modern history could be repeated here.
@edenakasha7574 Mr Bean would enjoy it,he could have a drag race with that three wheeled car. I reckon it would also suit Homer Simpson, it would be something he would drive.
I am always fascinated by inline-6, V6,V8, V12 and W16! 3 cylinder turbo's troubled me,Hybrids made me Yawn, and the craze for EV's made me switch in to Sleep Mode like Chandrayaan!😂 Pray that Toyota's New Breed of Gasoline Engines can reverse this distressing trend!
The price is just too high - even the normal 500e starts at around 50k. There are so many options in the market that for 50-65k prospective buyers might just feel more spoiled for choice and pick a better optioned vehicle from another manufacturer.
You’re spot on. At $50-65k, it’s tough to justify when other brands are offering more space, features, and range for the money. The Abarth’s charm is its character, but yeah, that price tag might make it more of a niche pick than a serious contender.
@@rc70ys I live in Ireland where the 2nd hand car market has all but scrubbed the EV sector. Even in main dealerships they are being told what to say by the Gov when in reality the cars are simply not moving. Case in point I was in the porsche dealership and I currently drive an RS5 Audi the dealer offered me a Porsche Taycan TURBO S list price of €240,000 and I could walk away with it for €125,000!!! It had 900km on clock show model, could only imagine what the depreciation would be in 2 years
Hey Jenny! Yes, I've driven one and no, I don't think it's even close to worth the price. I got one from my dealer for a whole weekend, as we had the first 500 Abarth, a 595 and a 695 in our fleet. Driving experience and fun are not even half as much - the only thing you have to give the new one credit for is the finally reasonable seating position (much lower) and the better center of gravity thanks to the battery pack. With the original Abarths you always feel like you're sitting more on the car than in it. We have a saying here for that: "Du hockst wie ein Affe auf dem Schleifstein" - which translated literally means like "you sit like a monkey on a grindstone" ;) But for the great fun you just accept that. Have you ever driven one of the petrol cars? You should!!
Haha! Great feedback thanks and sadly I have not had the experience of driving a petrol one yet. I love the German sayings they are so funny! A personal fav is unter taller sau! 😆
@@edenakasha7574 LOL, no way you know this!! Quite correct it's "Unter aller Sau" which is literally "Under all/every sow/pig". But it does mean: undignified, unbelievable behavior. Basically you are lower in rank than a pig. This saying is known in Germany and Austria, mine above is purely Austrian, no German would understand it either.Greetz from Vienna :)
Great review, Jenny. It's a bit of an overpriced toy, in my opinion, not all that practical. That back seat would be a pain, I would hate to do a long trip as a passenger it would be hard to curl up and sleep.
JENNY IS 🔥
Hahaha.. Jenny's cute scream for help from the rear seat is adorable 😂 always enjoy her car reviews 👍
Great video and nice to see you all active again!

It's so cute ! I think I had a remote controlled one when I was a kid 😂
Cool
Looks Great BUT priced ridiculously !
Mazda failed with their EV MX30 also with a ridiculous low 232 range.
Nice car. Plz review Nissan patrol 2024

They’re pulling them off the lots I read somewhere they’re NOT selling at all

Lol ridiculous price, can buy a Kia Picanto GT line for 24k, hell buy 2 of them and still have 17k left over.
Great review, Jenny.

Carlo Abarth is rolling in his grave!
I'll stick with my 2015 Abarth. 🦂
Definitely not worth the price. Yikes.
What a Rip Off.
I dont even like Fiat. Horrible cars.
Fix It Again Tony
Haven't had any issues with mine.
