I have fine thin hair, I'd recommend cutting the tape ins in half or even quarter for the front, puts less pressure on your finer strands and looks more natural as less obvious. Also halo hair extensions are amazing x
Could I give you one tiny tip.. see when your applying the front ones if you tilt them ever so slightly they will cover more of your hair towards the front that’s what I do with all my clients. But you have done a great job!! ❤️

Pro tip - I always used to wash the extensions before I put them in to get rid of the kind of soft silkyness. I never wet the tape but from like almost at the tape to the ends I would wash and shampoo about twice and not condition-air dry and then apply them and style after. They feel like your real hair, they feel lived in and they style much better.
Thank you so much for sharing, I have struggled with my fine thin hair for the last 20 years. So happy to see how you make it work. I’m a little scared to use the tape in extensions. Maybe I will try one day. I used to color my hair to give it some volume, but stopped for the last year
You might either love or hate tape ins. Personal preference. I have come to love them bc I can apply them myself at this point. But I have heard the sew in wefts are much more seamless. Just pricey $$$

Yes! Thank you so much for sharing! I have some tape in extensions that I've been meaning to apply to my hair but have been kinda scared. Seeing the technique that you used, made me feel more comfortable trying! And please keep us updated on how they perform! Love your vlogs!

@@TashVitorsky Hi Tash! Thanks so much for the update! Haven't tried the tape in extensions yet, but I did try the dip powder nails and I love it, super easy! Thanks for being a positive influence!
I want to thank you for sharing and no you really do a great job and seriously nothing to worry about! I Margo watched several tutorials on tape in extensions and yours was honestly the best on “how to” ♥️💋 thanks girl I hope I can do a half as good a job as you did, but my extensions are longer so fingers crossed 🤞 love from Denmark
Your right sweetie , I do all my own stuff if I can. I can't remember the last time I went to the hairdressers, or had my nails done. Just can't afford it. I to feel if I can do it myself I will give it a go. I have watched tons of vids on hair extensions and how to apply them. Ur doing a great job. Looks great. Really 😍
Thank you so much for posting this 🙌🏻 I have very fine/thin hair, and every video I see that says “fine/thin” hair, is never “fine/thin” hair lol .. off subject, I also have extremely thin lips, like my top lip is pretty much non existent, and I see all these videos with captions like ”this is how I make my very thin lips look fuller” and naturally their top lip is bigger than both of mine combined 😂😂🤦♀️🤦♀️ it’s nerve wrecking at time 😂🤣😂 so I’m sooo glad you posted this !!
I loved your video. I'm new to tape in extensions. Also, 72 years old with very thin hair. After watching, I feel I may be able to do it. Thank you for going slowly. 😂
QUESTIONS PLEASE READ…. First of all… Omg I LOVE you!!! You are beautiful and sweet and I feel like we could be soul sisters! Not in a crazy stalker way lmao. It’s just rare I can really relate with an influencer. Could I please ask some quick questions… do the extensions ever hurt from all that extra weight pulling on such a small area of scalp? I’ve used the clip in extensions and they are uncomfortable and slowly pull out my hair. How do you care for them, what products do you use for shampoo n conditioner to still be able to scrub and clean your hair and scalp? What do you use to remove them with the least damage to your own hair? How do you sleep… with a silk wrap or just a silk pillow case? I get these two huge parts on each side of my head and with how fine and thin my hair has become it’s impossible to do a quick fix without completely rewetting/washing my hair or filling in the naked scalp with Bumble and Bumble brownish hair powder (which is AMAZING, way better than even the Topper brand fibers) but it’s like $36 a bottle and I’m on a fixed income. Anyways, if you have time to answer any of my questions or even do another video I would be so great full! Thank you thank you again! So excited to have found your page and be subscribed for future content!
You can wash hair as normal. Brushing will be a little different bc you can only brush from the tapes down (not the root part where the tapes are applied).
@@TashVitorsky Are your tape-ins single or double sided? I made some that a doubles sided, but now I realize that I don't look both sides being sticky...help..lol!!

Thank you. :) I'll try to include hair washing in the next vlog. Fairly simple. And taking these off has been simple as well. I have actually during a beach trip I went on last year. But I didn’t get them wet in the salt water all too much. They should hold up no problem. I’ve never heard of Laced Hair Extensions but appreciate you sharing! Will have to give them a look.

❤️ You should be able to. I haven’t tried but this is directly from their website: “You may color, tone, or bleach your tape-in hair extensions, because they are 100% human hair. But we do not recommend bleaching your lilyhair as they have already been dyed at our manufacture, and forcing bleach on hair that has already been dyed can be difficult. If you truly want to bleach your tape-in hair extensions, please consider our virgin hair with natural color and not color-treated before. If you would like to dye your hair, please opt for a lighter set to dye darker, rather than a darker set to bleach lighter.”

I really enjoyed this video as I have fine hair too. I've tried Halo but it just slips off my head. I've never heard of tapes before, please can you let us know how to remove them 😍 thank you.
Glad to hear you liked the video, thanks ☺️ I have a video I did sometime last year on how I remove my tape ins, the technique remains the same: ua-cam.com/video/FduBfLbCS4k/v-deo.html Some tape ins (that I’ve tried in the past) have really strong tape and can be burdensome to remove. I haven’t rly had any issues with LilyHair, and hope it’s the same experience for others.
I had already tried these last year so I just purchased the same color. They have ombré/highlights/solid. If your hair isn’t a solid color but a blend, I feel like highlights work well, since they end up blending nicely and the color variation isn’t as noticeable. I’m sure if you reached out to them and send them a photo of your current hair color, they’d be happy to help with color selection. The ones I have are 4/26 When I was blonde I tried their glue in extensions in color ombré 12/613. It’s like a rooted blonde look. But those did feel a bit more dry after having them in for sometime (not sure if it was bc of the blonde).
I find you very interesting and extremely intelligent creative young woman. how many packs do you think I need if I have super extremely than hair that a lot of it was ripped out by a man who assaulted me... it won't grow back. I like your certain placements and now I have a wig on but I think they still get ratty
I’m so sorry to hear you had that happen. Usually with thinner shorter hair, you’ll need an average of 1.5-2 packs to blend. But if you’re just looking to add volume and keep the length, you can probably get away with 1 pack. Idk if the tape ins would be the best method. But nonetheless, without extensions or with them, hope you feel beautiful and worthy bc you are💕

Sometimes they’re noticeable. I’ve had those moments ngl. But usually no, Not unless they’re placed too high so there’s not enough hair covering them. You should be good with proper placement.
Be careful with these. As a hairstylist I’ve watched many of my clients get these. They can damage the hair and cause hair loss and breakage. They look nice. And great video!
Yes. There def has to be an awareness before making any decision. I haven’t experienced issues with tape ins but it’s a possibility, esp with improper technique, removal or sometimes an individual’s scalp/hair should avoid any excess manipulation. I agree.
Great job! Please keep us scraggly haired girls updated on your journey. Would love to see how long they last, upkeep, removal, etc. I've tried some clip in pieces before and they're okay. I'm paranoid they'll show if I move my hair the wrong way or it's windy out.
I know what that’s like. Will def keep updates going. So far after one shower, they haven’t matted on me (I’ve had others matte after one wash) and they haven’t slipped out. I have used Lily hair tape ins in this exact color probably exactly a year ago. I might have a hair vlog on that. And those lasted very well. No issues.
Ah, sorry to hear! I've had remaining tape that would stay stuck in my hair and I can almost relate. I'm currently giving my hair a break as it can be hit or miss with these tape ins sometimes. So I always advice people to be cautious, careful and be aware.
