I see Joel is preparing for a boxing match against Asal😂😂
lmfao
My main man Joel, simply a class act.
This guy has everything. Strenght, stamina, class....my favorite player for sure
He is a nice guy , met him a few times in France always has time for a relaxed chat , no ego just a solid lad , nice to see you in the boxing gym ,,, and it does compliment squash totally ! Next time you come to Brest Joel we can have a little spar , I’ll teach you a few moves ..
After so many years, enjoyed this after Coll, Mohammed
It’ll be nice to see a day with retired players who are still associated with the sport actively
I agree, would be good to see Gaultier/Willstrop/Matthew/Ramy maybe
So happy that this “a day in the life” series is back! Would love to see Gawad, Heshan, Sherbini and Ibrahim!
Great video giving an insight to a great squash player.
I had some training pain from yesterday, it feels ridiculous after watching this!
Such a nice and hard-working guy. Always admires his work ethic.
He is a beast. I love that he knocks out George Parker, another beast, and then starts ghosting. Makin is one if my favorite players.
Hi Paul, I’m 70 in a few months my squash playing days are long over but, I still watch lots of squash on UA-cam as much as I can find. You are one of my favourite players I love your hard work ethic your very sportsman like behaviour in particular as some of your losses must be hard on you. Keep up the great work I look forward to seeing you up inside the top 5 where you belong. Thank you Joel for everything you give to this great sport!
Makin is such a beast!
Seems like a great guy
Yeah, I always found him quite intimidating on the court (doesn't smile, always looks like he wanna kill his opponent), but outside the court, he is a really nice guy.
Joel’s a cool guy, he’s just always been super focused when it comes to his games and attitude on and off court.
Most regular humans will never have any idea how fit this guy is
Inspiring stuff.
🏴😁
Fab no nonsense insight. . .nothing hidden agendas . . Top Job
US Open 2022 , remember having a chat with him while watching Ali play. I was volunteering at the event and he was so approachable, sweet and talked like a normal person without any attitude. So much respect.
I've been waiting for years! Finally!!!
He's a beast!
Parker’s such a funny guy
Thx for Makin great content :D Joely good show
Those lunges....my patella cries even when I push myself to the 2nd floor bedroom :D
Fully enjoyed this. Really good
My hero! I love this video!!!
Terrific!
So interesting - thanks for producing
Great video!! Amazing series
Love this content
Excellent video.
Makin it Happen
Good vibes, love this stuff! 🥰
Solid player
Crazy he answered the door already wearing his lav!
We couldn't believe it when he opened the door wearing one too 👀 🤫
Nice 👍
I developed Patella Tendinopothy after years of squash and should have done more mobility/stretching/knee weights in my younger years .. those one leg squats are crazy! Great to see Joel highlighting that and I look forward to following his progress!
I trained myself out of that a year ago. 31 yo
@@hugosvenstedtWell done, the training is pretty tough! It took years to properly diagnose the issue and after a couple of months of training to fix it, covid struck and I've not picked it up again. I made good progress though and if I stuck to it I can see how I would have fully recovered. 49 yo
@@Seraph1One A lot of the quad strength can be developed at home with some resistance bands and body weight training. Mine developed into PFPS. Dont give up!
YES
80kg one leg squat is absolutely insane
I think that the first game I've seen of George where he didn't smash a racquet 😛
Joels a boss
What’s the live HR app and can it work live with an Apple Watch? Thanks
Now I know why he is one of fittest players on tour..great lad
💪
Karakal ❤
These guys work so hard.. Probably the least financially rewarded premium athletes .. Criminal!
Gladiator
The splits at 13:59 :O
Eye watering 🥲
One legs squats look like killers
WTF.....this man traines the hell out of himself😳😳😳
I guess We missed a lot of eating if he eats 6000cals on a day like that.
After we'd finished filming, we have it on good authority that Joel ordered a decent amount more food that evening. There was very little time to eat between the squash, gym, squash and boxing sessions 😅
@@squashtv Well, you'll just have to upload the mukbang later. The recovery work would be really interesting aswell.
Has Joel been injured ? Not seen him lately.
Joel withdrew from the Tournament of Champions and the Windy City Open due to injury, but he's now back! Watch him playing this week at the Optasia Championships, live on SQUASHTV 😍📺
Cheers Joel, hope to see you in Atlanta 2028, Skål!
Such a beast this bloke
Great video, but we need some subtitles or translation. This is one of the most British things I have ever heard
How many days Joel does this kind of training per week?
At least 8 days a week by our reckoning 👀
Nice. Kids should learn that. Great role model.
Why he box ?
Why not ? Great cross training. Power , accuracy, speed, agility. Same as squash but different. Sometimes variety is the same thing as a break
Asal may think twice before hitting Joel with a racket again after watching this
Needs to play in practice players of equal skill in match practice …..hard to do not many players in the uk that can keep up with him
