- Hi friends, it’s been a while!
I was ordering paints from Amazon and came across this brand, Gotideal. I used them in my video, Passion, and the cell integrity it produced was really nice and clean, no need for negative space clean up!
I used a variety of colors and some o lightened with artist loft soft body white, which seems to enhance the cell production.
Now, this type of pour is unique and different than a standard pour! The cells are prolific and fill in which creates a unique composition and unique piece of art!
Hope you enjoy!
Dwight
Wow love it! Great colours and juicy round cells and a perfectly balanced negative space! ❤
Wow, I love the blue tones. This came out just perfect. I mean it looks like it could be under the sea. And just the right amount of negative space love it.❤❤
Thank you so much!
The new paints worked great and look awesome. ❤💙
Yeah, I’m gonna keep using them and experiment more…
Absolutely stunning! The paint made a totally different kind of reaction!
Thank you so much!
It’s lovely Dwight ❤ Your colorful pours are my favorite!
Thank you!
Absolutely amazing colander pour and swirl as always Dwight 👍🏻⭐️🙂
Thank you! It turned out very nice!
Congratulations it is amazing
Awesome. Looks like an explosion 🎉
Holy Cow😳😳😳 phenomenal!!!😊❣️
I love love this creation❗️❗️❗️
Thank you…it’s one of my favorites and currently hanging in my house…will varnish it soon as well!
This is outstanding!!!! Such a cool piece!!!!
Thanks!
Love the movement in this piece. I like Gotideal paints too.
Very nice, and thank you for sharing 🎨 😊
Dwight Lisa Marvin did a great resin tutorial. I personally have not been very successful with it 😂. This may be my very favorite one. The movement and dimension is crazy
Thanks!
It turned out beautifully!
Thank you!
That beautiful piece will look AMAZING resined. I am new to using resin and have tried a few, my favorite is Art Resin. Very easy to use, self leavling and outcome was amazing. They have a great resin volume calculator for your canvas size. Oh and no awful smell👍🏻
Thank you good to know!
Dwight, I’m a big fan of yours-this one is special! I love the excitement in your voice. Super interesting to see the nuance that comes from changing a few things. I have been following you for a few years. Being in Australia, I’ve tried to find a comparable paint to substitute for artists loft, thank you for saying something about its properties and how it is the one that causes certain reactions. It’s been a bit of a mystery to me, but think I have found something-Mont Marte Signature that may work. Those cells are crisp! TY!
Thank you! I can imagine that in other parts of the world getting the same paints just isn’t that easy. Not to sure about Mont marte, I think I used that once and it worked as a dump paint, but I’d use more of the floetrol than paint…are you able to order from amazon any of the paints I mention? I’m guessing that would cost a lot. I’d suggest trying the craft paints, they are cheaper but for me they tend to work well…usually they have good pigment and are quite opaque. If you find a good substitute, let me know!
Again thank you. Yeah shipping is costly from Amazon US to AU! 😅
I had to come back! This would look awesome with resin! But it's going to take a bit!! I use Crystal Resin out of Canada. Its a good consistency. Easy to apply and takes almost as much as it does paint!!
Ugh, yeah, it’s big piece….Might not experiment on such a large piece at the moment…so I’ll just gloss varnish it in the meantime! Thanks for the info tho!
I love it what did you mix your paints with?
The same things I always use! Floetrol liquitex pouring medium and water
Nice! Mixed the same way since these are thicker?
I mix all my paints the same no matter the brand!
Do you have a video showing you put the water in the paint? I've used ArtResin. It doesn't have an odor.
Probably somewhere in my video stash, but using water varies depending on the thickness of the paints and the need to thin it,,,I just use regular tap water
!
I love your work!
