  • Once I master these exercises with any of my horses, I feel that I stacked my tool belt with Powerful Tools to do whatever I want with my horses. This video has a special treat to it as I've simply put the full content we uploaded to the video series rather than summarize it.
    Hope you enjoy!

Hi Jonathan. Just used the step-out exercise as a reminder for the horse to “attack” / Open that inside shoulder in the turn. Big Impact. Thanks from Denmark 🇩🇰

This is the first time a trainer tells me/us that teaching the side pass should come really early in the training process. I'm gonna start today! Maybe I'll gain more controll over my horse's shoulders. Thanks from Belgium! 🇧🇪

Hi Jonathan from North Carolina! Love the videos keep them coming! Question... My girl just turned 3 is coming along nicely but I spend at least 30 minutes in the round pen letting her burn off energy at the lope so she can focus. Afterwards she's strictly business and I feel I have good body control at the walk an trot. We are working on just cantering circles with good cadence on the bit on the circle, not falling in or out. My question is: should I be spending more time on her back or am I doing the correct thing by not fighting with her and getting the nonsense out so we can get to training 🤔

I think you’re doing the right thing getting the fresh out of her but 30 minutes sounds long. You’ll need to balance that out better over time. 5 minutes should be plenty. Perhaps try longe line instead, I have some videos on here about that.
