  • Hello everyone, welcome to another kiln opening. I'm starting to use more Mayco glazes because they yield great results and are cheaper in price. There is some trial and error of course but that is to be expected. Muddy Waters and Himalayan Salt were new for this kiln opening. Himalayan Salt produced a pinkish overtone on a cream colored background. I will use it for the bottom part of the cups with flowing glaze on top. Muddy Waters turned a matte brown. Tigers Eye was one of my favorites from the last kiln opening. I used it a lot this time because it goes great when combined with AMACO Obsidian or Oatmeal glaze.
Thanks for watching and as always until next time take care of yourselves. Please like and subscribe it helps my channel grow.

Gorgeous pots :) psst it’s a bad habit to set pots on the edge of the kiln 😅 you think you’ll never damage your firebrick… until you damage your firebrick

I hold my breath thinking the pots will get knocked off.

Hey thank you and you are correct I shouldn’t put them up there. I’ll keep that in mind next time.
