You'll see all the tools and processes used to turn a gunky playing surface of a vintage early 90's Seagull into a clean, rejuvenated fretboard with polished frets.
Along with a few essential tips, you'll also gain some insight into which products actually work and those you might want to reconsider.
Although you may not want the image in your mind, here's what the fretboard looked like before the spa treatment: • Fretboard condition - ...

Not gonna lie, you scared the hell out of me when you pulled out the 'solvent', but I gotta say it turned it way better than I thought. 😂 Great work!

Petroleum is organic. It's one of the damn reasons I'm sick and tired of people getting all jazzed up over "organic" whatever. In general terms, "organic" is anything that is living or was once alive, and in chemistry-specific terms, anything containing carbon is "organic". So yes carbon-based fossil fuel sources, like good old fashion crude oil is "organic". What "organic" does not mean is "a lack of chemicals or harmful chemicals". For example... People buy "organic" food to avoid pesticides. Organic food growers still use pesticides, they just use carbon-based natural pesticides... like arsenic.

Good points. Crude petroleum itself may be organic, but its refined derivatives are not as they are unsustainable.

@@guitar-niche "organic" has nothing to do with sustainability. Whale oil was inarguably "organic" and also absolutely unsustainable. Likewise, refinement has no impact on a product being organic. A non-organic compound would be something that's silicone-based, for example. Refined gasoline right from the pump is still a carbon-based organic compound. Any petroleum-based product or by-product is organic. Period. People just need to get it out of their heads that organic=good. Organic=carbon, that's it.
