This conversation was so good - thank you both for really and honestly going toe to toe - so much to unpack I will be listening to this many many times.
and you know this how? she has never won a contest she has never showed here life long track record with a CPA confirming . she did have a fund for some time but she wasn't the only trader. Every time she talks about it she is always giving credit to those other traders Niles.... Every time she talks about the setups she uses, she always says she didn't come up with them and says who did.
19 yr old trader jus soaking up as much as I can here. Love Linda's understanding of numbers and statistics - this is where true confidence comes from. An understanding of statistics & probability is sorely lacking in the retail trading space. Understand mathematics and stats and you'll develop the critical thinking skills to dispel a lot of the logical fallacies thrown around these days. Also a lot of harsh realities she's put out especially about trend following drawdowns and fundamentals being more long term drivers of price. Also love her personality. She does not get bossed around :)
@@Pepperstone u did what u can do to interview her. Thanks for doing that. She had to be honest to give blatant and correct answers as this is very critical for any serious trader.
Interviewer: ''If you can describe your work in like 30 seconds'' I believe one can't describe his own work experience in 30 seconds let alone a person like Raschke :)
one good attribute of great traders is that they are cynical and don't believe anything that anyone says. They test and verify everything before they incorporate it into their analytical methodology. Some of the things Linda wrote in her book don't pass statistical tests. Some do. Do your own work and trade a strategy that's in line with your psychological make-up. I am a trend follower and I am making a modest living out of it. Of course, it has drawdown but which strategy doesn't? Even VB systems have one, albeit a minor one but they don't have a great upside potential either.
I really like Linda Raschke. I've listened to a lot of her interviews - her story is inspirational. But *Face palm* at this interviewer - he was so hard to listen to.
Wish this guy would stop talking and let her speak more. It's clear his knowledge is vastly inferior. He must enjoy hearing his voice. He was the limiting factor with this interview. Great words from Linda. Wow. What knowledge.
I'm shocked, she b ad mouthed trend following but failed to describe the entire process, she only used drawdowns as am example. What about if you don't allow for drawdowns to take place❓ i can't believe what i heard. She says she is ES trader, but sounds more like options trader. Relying heavily on statistics, law of large numbers...... Certainly knows a lot,.
This guy did a disservice to the interview. Hig ego should have allowed him to remain quiet other than asking questions. His knowledge was being assaulted with facts. The fact that he could charge money to dispense any advice to 'his retailer crowd' is insane.
Thanks for the feedback, Rocky. You might enjoy our more recent interview with Linda with our Head of Research, Chris Weston, more: ua-cam.com/video/nN-My0W7BVY/v-deo.html The one you found is almost five years old!
Too bad the interviewer tried to make the interview about himself.. I didn’t come to listen to you talk. I came to hear her, please stop letting your ego get in everyone’s way. Shame.

Linda was awesome like ever...& the interviewer was more interested in jumping in & giving his views rather than asking questions...

Her personality is interesting, she doesn't comfort her interviewer but gives 100% her opinion and this reflects her ideology on trading.
She is one of the best pure day traders out there and I know that for a fact.
When Linda speaks, we listen
This woman is one of the best traders in the world.
Victor Gomez correct- she’s a wizard

@@cassadagagoing into the market and coming out with all limbs attached AND with money.... Sounds like a legend to me.
Good down to earth questions asked towards the end and she cleared a lot of needy greedy stuff - Wow..Linda Raschke is the Boss.
This is gold.. i've read her book and there's added wisdom here.. i.e holding positions til close, and not scaling in or out
This AMA needs a 100 million views
Wow she was really in the mood to drop some real truth bombs! Absolute gold!

Her ways are quite controversial.
Completely ignore fundamentals!
No trend trading! Gosh.....

I need to see her LIVE account statement if really genius, seeing is believing?? And I am 100% she wouldn't show.
Do your research before you talk shite!
