@liljay216 lol you all take this all too seriously. it was made like this because it was a family show about the Walsh family, at least in the first four seasons, and this is a funny, cute family scene. Also, Brenda was bringing the drama. She was way more dramatic than Brandon. The only drama Brandon had in a relationship was with Emily Valentine, and it was because she lied and gave him drugs, not because of him. Here Brenda is lying, literally making up the lies and intrigue on her own. So this is the answer to people who constantly say the parents were sexist blah blah - no, they weren't. The problem with Brenda was, that she was constantly lying to her parents, running away with Dylan to Mexico without her documents, etc, Brandon never did things like this, he got drunk once exactly because he wanted to finally get free of responsibility and feel young and free during this one party with friends in season 1, and later he took drugs but only because Emily secretly gave it to him, he never did wild things like this on regular basis, like Brenda. So he was allowed to do more. Also, like it or not, it is different with girls. Girls can get pregnant and hurt, and guys are often sobs who use girls for sex; when a guy is 'used' for sex, at least no one can get pregnant, that is the difference - fact. So it's not sexist, it's protective towards girls who are more vulnerable, like it or not. And the telephone was in the kitchen, so they heard. She could have said to them to go away and stop listening, but she didn't, meaning Brenda herself didn't have a problem with it.

Rick and Brenda would have never worked because each was attracted to a fake persona. It was fun, and that was it, especially when the real Rick turned out to be a clone of Jim.. LOL

It really makes me sad as to how Shannen Donerty got breast cancer so young and is still suffering from it today. Look how talented and gorgeous she was. She nailed the French accent. I wish she stayed with 90210 til the end. I know it was due to her own personal problems, but the show wasnt the same since she left.

Ah, Rick. Not gonna lie. I think a little less of Brenda for fumbling the bag. Yes, yes. I know. She loves Dylan, it's not easy for her to move on so soon, and there's history there, but Rick was FINE, and a gentleman. Same goes for Kelly with Matt.
the story of Kelly and Matt is something else...Kelly was really ready to marry him but in my opinion things had changed when she believed that Dylan was dead in an accident on the beach she was really panicked ! she was afraid of losing him.
@melainesiar-titeca4602 Absolutely. After everything that happened there, Kelly quickly realized her love for Dylan was still there and slowly ended up emotionally sabotaging her relationship with Matt, in order to be with Dylan. It's sad. Matt was damn near perfect for Kelly up until that point.
Til this day I never understood why every time Brenda got a phone call her whole entire family would listen,watch and question her about the call. Not with Brandon. They'd just leave and shut his door behind them giving privacy..especially when it came to that crazy Emily Valentine calling
Brenda didn’t really have her head on straight. Brandon did. Aside from drunk driving and gambling too much, Brandon was a choir boy. Brenda invited drama every second of her life.
