- The Silver Spirit is a British saloon motor car that was made by Rolls-Royce Motors, in Crewe, England. It was launched in 1980 as the first model in the SZ series.
The Silver Spur is a long-wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit, produced at the same time. The Spirit was the first car to feature the retractable Spirit of Ecstasy. The spring-loaded Mascot sank into the radiator shell if dislodged from its position.

Fantastic!!! Beautiful!!!
Thank you!
I love Silver Spirit.
A beautiful motor car, now a true classic.
Great stuff. A time when Rolls weren't vulgar, like they are now.
They had a regal styling. I agree the styling since BMW took over has been off the mark. Unlike Bentley that's elegant and sporty. Rolls is just ponderous and weird.
Phantoms of the thirties were noted for their vulgarity. The Indians had some garish bodywork added to them. I love it all. I am a Rolls Royce nut.
King Rose Archives These were Rolls Royce for the masses. Up until 1992 you could get a Phantom VI. The real deal. I was in High School when I heard the news that they were going to stop making them. I was an angry 14 year old when I heard it.
The Silver Spirit is not in the least vulgar. It is the Rolls-Royce chosen by those with the very finest taste and style.
The last of the line-if lacking the grace of earlier designs (John Blatchley was gone, as were the coachbuilders), the Silver Spirit still was the real deal.
The Great!!! Thank you for Your UpLorD.
Fantastic film. Would be great if a re-recording could be made from the original with better audio. I love the electro backing track.
One of the many things on my list. Sorry.
Interesting that having the great big front grille didn't seem to hurt aerodynamics. Even the 1965 Silver Shadow had a cd of just 0.40.
"just 0.40"
@@MrTheMiguelox The NSU Ro80 came out a few years later and was praised for having a cd of 0.36 so 0.40 in 1965 with a massive grill was suprisingly good. It's terrible now obviously!
awesome
Can any one tell me what the music played for the last minute is ?
I'm told it's:"Francis Monkman-The Achievements Of Man-UPPM", sound recording administered by:@copynotice?video_id=6RK-q1wCBLA

Don't really know -- it was chosen by Rolls-Royce for this video ages ago.
They took fifteen years to bring out a new RR motor car because they and then Vickers never had the funds after they went into recievership.
