- The new ANC Youth League leaders will be pushing for 50% youth representation in Parliament. The league's President, Collen Malatji, announced this after the weekend's elective congress. The top six officials also refuted claims that the conference processes were unfair.
Members of the league's National Executive Committee have also been announced.

As a 20 year old South African. I frankly don't care how old my leaders are. Just as long as they are exactly that; LEADERS. As long as they have their head screwed on properly age doesn't matter, however, in this case and our general case as a country we have a leader shortage at the top as everyone has become an expert at scapegoating and shifting the blame. It is an absolute rarity to see our "leaders" these days take responsibility for any of their actions
That’s true! Sometimes people enjoy useless rhetoric and ‘charismatic’ people in leadership positions. I am deliberately calling them ‘people in leadership positions’ because that’s what most of them are, occupiers of positions without showing any real leadership skills and qualities! Most of them are misleaders and not leaders! It’s time to get the right man for the job regardless of who they are, what they look like and whom they pray to!!!
