In most cases we have Morissette sing live while the other singer sings in a studio. Interesting to have it the other way round (if Bebe's performance is really live). Well, personally I like Morissette's rendition better, because I love her voice, and she is my favourite vocalist. With that I do not say that I don't like Bebe's voice. The recording of her performance sounds a bit like she was sitting in a box, and we were listening from outside. Of course that doesn't say anything about her voice quality.
Let's cut to the chase right away. Bebe is a good singer but not in Morissette's class. Period. P.S. I love her squeaks. They may not be necessary but I enjoy them.
Bebe uses a force voice to make her sound louder. Morisette has the voice of an angel. The squeaked sound is great but it is too much here. She is really gifted. I love her all the way.
I'm a Filipino and I love Mori versionnnn but Bebe Rexha?? I love Bebe moreee. Actually I love the other performance of Bebe from The Ellen's Show and its more LIVEE. And yesss, Bebe and Mori has different styles and sound. Bebe's voice is really unique and has distinctive styles and actually she's VERSATILE. For now she's successful in edm and dance sound and it overshadowed the other songs that is much better than the recent releases. But she's delivering vocals over the years. And Moris voice is really good I mean she can do a lot with her voiceeee
Bebe comes from the modern school of singing. She uses a lot of nasality and twang, which explains why her voice sounds "small" and thin. Today's pop music is saturated with this type of voice. This is the preferred "pop" sound. Meanwhile, Morissette comes from the "old school" way of singing. Mori has a much more open vocal tract, which explains why her voice is bigger, rounder, and richer in resonance. Mori also has a more classical approach to her vocal tract shaping. The training required to open up your vocal tract is much more difficult to achieve. There's a mini-amphitheater in Mori's vocal tract! Mori separates herself in the B4-E#5 range. Bebe can hit those notes, but it's going to sound thinner and much more nasal. It's easier to hit those high notes with a lot of nasality, but the tone quality suffers. On the other hand, Mori's tone quality actually gets better in the B4-E#5 vocal range. The gates of heaven open when Mori gets to that B4-E#5 range! Therein lies the difference.
Absolutely, Joey. The difference between them is like night and day. I will also say that people naturally have different voices which plays a part in terms of thickness as well. I've heard Bebe sing with more open vocals and it sounded better, but someone like Ariana Grande has a very naturally thin voice and she can never, as of now at least, sound thick.
While Morissette regularly tops other singers' studio productions with her live performances, expecting anyone else to match Morissette's studio versions with a live performance is really unfair. The other girl sings well but without electronic enhancement, so there's no way she could come close to matching Mori.
Please try to even out the volume between the clips you show and your voice--it's rather jarring if it's loud enough to hear the clips and then you start speaking which is too loud. Anyway, although they claim it's a the live performance, Bebe Rexha's performance is likely pitch corrected, as is Morissette's.
I love getting these comments because they help me with editing, but I am really trying to hear what you hear and I can't. Of course there is a difference between the videos I react to and my audio recording, but my audio is never blown out so I really can't do much about this as even the volume seems to be similar. My audio is only slightly higher because I at times talk over the clips and I need that to be heard and not lost in the music.
@@fashionblank Maybe it depends what the playback system is--I was listening through a high-end wireless speaker and it just seemed to be much louder when you spoke; I think it was after a clip was paused.
@@fashionblank Don't worry about it, when I listen through the computer speakers it's not that a problem and maybe it was only one part which was exaggerated by the wireless speaker. To change the subject, I see you have quite a few Morissette reactions, a few Regine Velasquez, and I think one Gigi De Lana, but I wish you would react to my favorite singer (Morissette is my second favorite singer), who is a frequent collaborator with Morissette, and that is Jona Viray. I would suggest her performance of I'll Never Love Again from September 2019 at the Aces in Cebu. There are two videos on UA-cam with similar thumbnails, one is an audience video on Jona's channel and the other better quality one has three pink cubes in the bottom right corner in a triangular arrangement. That seems to be the venue production and has better and video. It took me a while to realize that it's actually a different performance than the other video of the same song at the same venue. Maybe she did two shows. Anyway, it's a terrific performance and my favorite version of I'll Never Love Again, including Lady Gaga's. Morissette also does a version, but the audio quality is not as good so it's a little hard to compare them. But you could try making a comparison video if you want. The fact that Mori is singing on a higher key and still belts that last note. 😍
Liked both their both have unique qualities but mori is more free with her vocals even better live.🔥👑

The difference between the original and the Queen Mori, is our queen has added her own signature "SQUEAK" whereas we can't get anyone else.

You are obviously Mori-biased. Not fair to Bebe, or anyone else being compared to Mori. You go girl
You picked the wrong live performance from bebe rexha
