whew I couldn't keep up if that happened...I got into a gallery in Nashville, IN and have been on HGTV and building for a big golf course in northern Indiana! life is good but I have more work than I can manage! ha
Great job Marci! Having seen these pieces in person, I can say that the video captures the beauty, but doesn’t come close to showing the amount of time you spent on each one. My hats off to you and your creativeness!
Amazing plasma cutter skills! You have quite the artists eye to see the pattern hidden in the metal. The shadow effect is wonderful! Thank you for sharing your art.
Hi, Marci Congratulations, you mastering your plasma cutter in a superior way, Desing and skills are really of a high standard, and the talent to see what is invisible, Great work. you deserve to be known by the Gallerists on the whole US-good luck dear and be seeing more of your work. Greetings.Hubertus
WICKED COOL!!! I used to work in a lace factory which I thought was cool to watch the lace appear as it was knitted. But you have taken lace to a whole new level!! The light and shadows really make it come to life!! But when I think about all the hours it must take stooped over and looking through that helmet....that surely takes suffering for your art to a whole new level!!! You're a much tougher chick than I'll ever be!!!
haha...well it doesn't take as long as you think, I cut the tall grain chute in a single day! (granted it was like a 14 hour day but....) Many plasma cutters wear just the glasses instead of a full helmet...but I prefer the helmet even with the neck strain as it reduces the glare of surrounding light as well and I feel I can see my lines better! Thanks for coming along!
YES! WE ARE GETTING FIBER INTERNET TOMORROW!!!!!! We've been living without the ability to upload for almost 2 years now...I might actually get wild and edit and upload a video for Thursday! ha It'll be so wonderful to be back! I miss everyone! Thanks so much for checking in...look for a new video soon...very soon!
Outstanding artistry! What a talent you are with a plasma cutter! You have created a tremendous piece of American Folk Art! Well-deserved kudos on being displayed and sold at Hoosier Artis Gallery!
This is beautiful and exactly what I've been looking for. I do woodcuts and I've wanted to transfer some of them to decorative metal elements. Thanks so much.
pickle is fixing to get full time work very soon! we are in the middle of a camper restoration but is has to be done in 8 weeks and then we will be on pickle FULL TIME!
still at it, one bite at a time! We have lived without internet for 20+ years now ( I used to always upload from my office, but now working from home so no longer have that access) ...fiber coming soon we hope, so then I'll be back to weekly uploads! yippie!!!
Such beautiful work Marci! They remind me of some highly detailed illustration books from when I was a kid. I stared at them for hours tracing all the lines with my eyes. I could look at those pieces and their shadows for a good long while with an iced tea on a summer day. Especially if you’ve hidden little gems in there. Loved watching you show us this one. Hope you’re having a good winter! 😊👍👍
The leaf one was featured on an HGTV show and is currently in front of a house that Good Bones Better YARD show did. It is in the main entry way of that house on the sidewalk. The folks that have purchased wheelbarrows put them on their porches or use them in fancy flower gardens
Lace on the car fender hood, are not very smart when it rain, why not put tape on the back, then fill the void with colored epoxy resin Then it can be back lit and are weather proof
haha, well...it's an old VW, as to the rain what is it really going to hurt if it DOES rain? the spare tire?...and kind of the whole point of plasma cutting something is so that it is cut...All of the dash electrical is covered with a fiberglass cover on this car...we really only drive it with this hood on to shows or on nice days...ironically we DID get caught out on it on the interstate once in a horrid pop-up shower...nothing past the hood cut even got damp! In that same storm we hit a large log that had dropped in the road, totally smashing the front of the car and jamming the hood where it wouldn't open...BECAUSE we had that particular hood on I was able to reach my hand in and unbolt the hood handle and get the hood open to make the repair, without that hood on we would have had to cut the hood handle in two and it would have been junk....life in a lowered car...sigh...thanks for the comment...you think this car is cut up check out Rae Ripple's cars, she cuts the entire car!
this lady needs a showing in NYC galleries to expose her artwork to the masses

Absolutely beautiful and cool!
thanks so much! certainly is fun to cut things up!
Nice to see your still at it. Just a thought. Just think what you can do with a CNC plasma cutting table. 😊
no room for one unfortunately, shop is 12ft x 6ft...not much space...but I'm looking at the arcdroid as an alternative!
Once again you have made something that would have been scraped into a piece of art that many people would enjoy owning.
thank you kindly!
Hope that things are well ... I visit for your awesome inspiration
