So I agree with your sentiment. But if you have a good Corolla dealership, they'll do mileage milestone checks. Sure they may tell you something needs replaced, but they usually put air in your tire, rotate your wheels, and wash the car for free lol.

Funny a Mazda ad comes on first thing! The "reset data" had me concerned I was resetting something that should be kept track of. But I'm guessing there's no real data it's keeping track of, just the once every 5000 mile scheduled maintenance message that pops up to remind you to check the maintenance schedule to see what's supposed to be done.

I was told it's every 16000 km for synthetic oil. But, maybe check with your dealership.

The tech at the dealership told me it was once a year or every 10,000 miles. Full synthetic Mobil 1.

Around 5000 miles is a safe bet, some cars can do up to 10000 on full synthetic but I typically do my oil changes between 3000 and 5000.

This message is mainly meant to inform you that it is time to visit the dealership. Also the vehicle should have come with the maintenance schedule booklet that will tell you what maintenance is required at what age and/or mileage.
You can also look up what maintenance is due by using this Toyota website - www.toyota.com/owners/parts-service/maintenance-schedule.
