Any idea what’s going on in the ’Layer Options’ Pannel, when you select an RGB colour in the ‘basic blending’ option?
For the first image, you selected ‘Red’, why did the bottom layer go Cyan? (And obviously as a result there was a mixing of these two colours which gave a yellow - or at least I believe I see that on the flower stalks she’s holding).
Any idea what’s going on here?

What if you're working in CMYK profile?
Went out of my way to find older versions of Photoshop... and 2019 comes closest to replicating this video... however, the 2nd stage of the second example, where the girl is Red yellow and green.. I am 100% not able to replicate that. The underimage does not behave the same as your version.
UPDATE: I found the issue, you have to have a black background (even if the photo is already black) as photoshop treats the colors like CMYK- without the black it won't work. I don't know why he doesn't require one, but I can't replicate without the black.
Hello, I can't create that yellow effect from the second image. I uncheck the box and there is no change in the colour it's red and blue only. Can you tell why is it happening?
Same- it doesn't do anything
i used pts 2019, when i uncheck red, only one photo that i chose change, the other remain intact.. pls help!
