I've NEVER in my life witnessed someone who in my opinion is absolutely PERFECT!! Everything he comes up with is hard af. He is so lyrical, down to earth and gorgeous!! Something about him just melts my heart. I wish I actually knew him in person, I would do everything in my power to help him to keep pushing foward in life,with his music and his personal life, and I would treat him the way he deserves to be treated. I found him way late through "Money Buy Drugs", but I knew instantly he was fire from that. I then did the same thing you did and almost said "nah nvm" because of that track with chris brown, I thought all his stuff was that and money buy drugs was a fluke, then my anxiety came up and for me that resonated heavily. It was down the rabbit hole after that. Dude is super slept on still, hope to see him stay himself and continue his climb.
It really blows my mind how slept on he is especially because everyone I show his music to immediately likes, if not loves, his stuff. Maybe one day he will get the recognition that he deserves and then we will all get to say we liked him before it was cool!

It truly makes me angry how much this man is slept on. I found him a few years ago and I think his word play is phenomenal and it's so unique compared to anything I've ever heard before. Just the way he makes his rhymes and the way he constructs a verse is incredible to listen to. Even if his lyrics are sometimes a childish it's always fun to listen to And he always talks about real shit in his music. He's never fake hes always 100% himself and I love that. Some of the dopest verses I've ever heard in rap have come from his songs. That limbo line is absolute fire.

Great video! First time Cal popped up in my feed was his music video for Donnie Darko. I never heard of him but I remember liking the movie back in the day so I said f’k it and decided to see what the vid was all about. Man was I surprised! His line “til I go crazy, go and get the baby shark. Then hit em with the do, do, do-do, do-do, damn”. I went and checked out all his other shit after that and was equally impressed. Can’t wait to see Cal blow up big.
Would love to see a similar video on the rapper Ouija Macc. Similar to Cal, Ouija’s also a lesser known artist that a lot of people are sleepin on. Been in the game a long time, reinvented himself, puts out a lot of content and just keeps getting better.

Telling you now I'm so happy I found Scruby. He's been my number 1 for quite awhile. His songs have some of the best placement for adlibs and soundeffects. Very reminiscent of Eminem and his early albums.

Kinda went through a similar journey with Cal, in the sense that I wasn't crazy impressed with him but I did really like his song Hold Up. So I continued to kinda check up on him and when he started dropping his shit for Unsigned, dude became my favorite rapper. Lol I was trying to put everyone onto him. Saw him live a few years back and he killed it. Can't wait for more of his new stuff, definitely suggest seeing him live if you can

Nice video, cool to see his history. A little disappointed because I thought you were going to talk about his claims of Logic stealing his work since he talks about it quite often. That's what the song Jackin is about (flow-jacking). He also references it in MonkeyBars that you had at the end "There's a moral to the story that can not be told about the ones on top how they copy flows." The most obvious time being in Underground when he says "I'ma slapshot Bobby if he copy this." From what I could tell from Genius, it's about how Logic dropped a song called Keanu Reeves a couple years after Cal did. Even Cal says that the songs don't sound similar so I'm interested in what/where people have found copied flows. I wasn't able to find anything about it and hoped you would have. It would be interesting to see some of these beefs going forward, but if you want to keep it positive that's cool too. Still, good video.

I love cal. I went to his tour before he had to cancel because of covid. Man's doesn't stop dropping heat. I promote his music alot to ppl I know. I even got some unreleased stuff from his wyws deluxe pack. Funny thing is, my mom got me hooked on him and he's is one of my favorite artist. 😂
Cal and Easy Mac! They've did a bunch of collabs already (the vids all here on UA-cam) and all the tracks they did together are consistently funny and witty rhymes over dope beats and many of them have trippy, funny animations too
It's pretty much the only rap I listen to nowadays. Cal has been consistently dropping bangers for years, one after another. They're both just getting started being known, only up from here tho
They're two of the few rappers with substance and not just more brainless "b*t hes and hos" repetition.
Their style is still hilarious and personally relatable.
Vocab and references are on point too.
Lyrics touch on subjects of conscious, the human experience, awareness and just the general deep thought that (usually) accompanies psychedelic use.
I really hope they will continue in that direction and keep being decent ppl as they navigate rising fame and success while also continuing being real af with their art. I foresee big careers for them both, they're very likeable
