Thank you for sharing your new work babies. At the end of the day even if they are truly pieces of art, is very important that they serve a purpose as well. As an engineer I’m truly fascinated by novelty shapes, bristles and the conception process behind these beauties. You just might have influenced me to pay a visit to the brush festival in the upcoming years 🤩. Maybe one day in the future you find the time to share your best 3 for each purpose/application. 😘

I am looking forward to seeing you there!
I am also quite intrigued in the manufacturing process and the ways of shaping a brush head. I did attend a "make your own makeup brush" in Koyudo in 2019 and I enjoyed it immensley. The activity was mainly about shaping the brush head with a mold, tying the brush with a string to keep the shape of the mold and then an artisan had to glue the bristles to the ferrule/handle. I think you might enjoy that experince too.
      I can't promise a top 3, but i have a similar video planned.

Oooh... the Koydo kakishibu brush! I love kakishibu dye so I guess if I like the Rephr I will be in danger again, haha. I like that you bought the kimono brush :) I think it's great when people buy these more traditional brushes and the ones like itahake and yachiyo... helps to keep the traditional culture of Japan alive.

That Koyudo brush looked very interesting right?! Unfortunately I don't see any of the Yachiyo Brushes nor the Ita Bake brushes at the festival grounds, but i'm glad to see a few of the traditional brushes though.

First and foremost a makeup brush should successfully apply makeup. If it fails at that then its only possible purpose is a thing of beauty… or a cat toy. My cats are OBSESSED with the natural hairs, I guess they can still smell things I can’t.
But a brush that is definitely functional and beautiful is the Eihodo geisha brush. I adore the Eihodo puff brushes!
I haven’t any Takumi series brushes yet, and I look forward to hearing what you think of them 😊

The Eihodo puff brush is so underrated. It is one of my faves for liquid foundation application and applies streak free

Wonderful video, full of lovely brushes and interesting and fun details - thank you. How nice that you now have the brushes that were on your Fude BoBo and other wish lists.
Your excitement and appreciation of the quality of the brushes is so compelling; I look forward to the demonstrations!
I can see why one would be drawn to that large horse-hair stamping brush, and the key chains are so cute.
And finally, I like your t-shirt - great colour and nice collar detail.
    😊

Thank you! That’s actually an old shirt from Uniqlo. I try to not wear colored shirts much as I have very active sweat glands. I’m also wary of Red toned shirts, because if it gets too warm in tone, it doesn’t look right on me. But when it’s deeper and more
      Blue, it’s alright. 😉
So grateful to Fude Bobo for the brushes. I will treasure them forever.
