Bought this game today because of this video. Several missions into the campaign now and I'm loving it; it's exactly the game I didn't know I was waiting for. A bit buggy but hopefully it sells well and patches keep coming.
its the same genre. but imagine it like They are Billions, with upgrades, a little but more bugs ( some report of control groups not working as intended e.g. ), and other setting. while TAB is " enemies always spawn at the ma´p´s end ", allowing some cheesy control of the hordes, here they spawn at the maps end AND on the open rift(s). also, you got hero units like WC3 and structures and playstyle vary a bit depending on faction choosen. i loved TAB, didnt play this one that much, but it was in EA where i last played it around a year ago.
Great to see you and Winter banter over stream! I watch you both pretty much everyday. I have to say I am impressed with the voice acting for a $10 game. I made it through 4 missions in the campaign. It's not BG3 level performance but it's better than fan fiction mods for WC3
I played this game a few months ago and got to complete it once in the highest nightmare difficulty. It was crazy difficult. Watching Lowko struggle was amazing XD

lowko I'm a long time enjoyer and have literally watched every one of your videos, I've had aod since beta at love the game its so epic to see you doing content for it! sometimes a single player rts is nice to relax StarCraft makes me feel like I'm trying to operate 35 heavy machines simultaneously sometimes XD
This game would be much more known and overall beter , If the Devs actually fixed the multiplayer issues and bugs that have been known for a long time.
I like the fact that you have a hero that levels and troops. It makes it more than a tower defense game. I wouls prefer that there was more micro and less macro, and that you can have more than one hero and items. I always wanted to make a mod for warcraft 3 that is like this.

I'm ass, cause i don't rts, but the game is fun to me. It's shocking that they jump into veteran, to me, but that shows the difference between high level star craft players and casual, like me. On co op, my boy and i get folded on the third death night, every time, on easy.
Be careful: In night 3 it seems that the control groups stop working. You have to defend several points and you need to split your army. Fine. So you have one controlgrup for your northern army and one for your southern. But because of the bug if you give a command to your northern army, the southern one does exactly the same. You tell the northern army to move? The southern moves to the same place. No idea if this bug is happening with everybody, but according to steam-reviews this bug is in the game since 2 years and has not been fixed. Makes the game for everybody who wants to play with control groups basically impossible to play later on. I was interested in the game, but if I can't use control groups reliable - even though I need to defend different points, so need to split - it's a hard pass for me.
It's happening to everybody i think, because the devs said they're looking into it but it's very frustrating and feels like a rushed, unfinished game no matter how much i like it
I personally don't like "roguelikes" and this strikes me as a RTS roguelike. Especially with the map generation being so random that you might as well restart. This would benefit from set maps, but then focusing on creating unique interactions with events and monsters. Different variety of monsters, some weak to melee, strong to archers etc. It is a huge mass of mobs, and you just hope to kill them all so that you progress to the next night. I also don't quite understand their pricing structure. 65% off for a new release? It sounds sus. Maybe they are trying to get it to be popular and hope that it goes viral? But they don't offer anything new or unique compared to They Are Billions and other games of that nature. This is a game I expect will be consistently on sale for 65-90% off in the future. I did watch the entire video, just not my cup of tea.
took a look at the steam page when i saw this thumbnail to see if it looked interesting and the reviews are not pretty......im sure this paid ad will cover none of that. 0/10 tldr: games unbalanced, an unstable mess, constant crashing, bugs with control groups, and multiplayer is region locked and you have to vpn to get around it.

This was awesome, and also your mapgen was insane... that large stone quarry at the top surrounded by water is golden map gen right there.

Bought this a couple days ago before the sales, It is a rough cut gem but still a lot of fun. We just beat our first survival coop today.
