    Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I remember meeting you guys and thinking to myself how awesome it was that you were experiencing this together. I love the details that you give to the potential loneliness that can come from missing a routine or a personal space that one has become accustomed to. Thank you for being candid and vulnerable.. Great job on making it through year one in Panama! Happy Panniversary! We are a year and a half out😂🤩

    Hi Sheri & Glenn! I’m tuning in from San Diego. Great video! Thank you for this. You bring great insight on the move and the life abroad.
    I am moving to Panama this December! I can’t wait!
    Why did you guys choose a city over someplace like Boquete?
    I’m still on the fence. I’m an empty nester. I’ll be moving by myself. I was thinking about El Cangrejo for the first year that way, my kids can come easily and visit. Then exploring the beach towns and also Boquete .
    Is it really hot in the city? How much is your AC bill if I may be nosy? Do you get used to the heat?
    I’m in my 50s. I i’m active. I like live music. I like being out and about. I’m wondering if the beach towns are going to be boring for me.
    Any advice you can give would be fabulous since you’ve been there a year. 😊
    Thanks
    Tracey ☀️🌈🏝️

      @@BeachGirl-ud6tg wow… 😮
      You’ve got a lot of questions 🤪
      But good news! I have some time.
      Glad that you enjoyed the video and we are excited for you that you chose to move to Panama 🇵🇦
      December is a great time of the year! The beginning of dry season, not to mention Christmas is something special here!
      We chose Panama because of its proximity to the East Coast in the US where we are from.
      Also the weather and because we run an online business, the infrastructure of the city was a must.
      You can also throw in the fact that we don’t have hurricanes. Thank you Jesus 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
      The city gets really humid probably the most humidity in all of the country, but you do get used to it. It’s different because it’s clean air and not smoggy. We’ve not been out to Boquete yet.
      Definitely going to visit ( looking forward to touring the coffee and chocolate farms ) but from what we understand we’re not gonna want to live there, to Expat heavy for us!
      We did considered Coronado and Gorgana, but it’s too far from the airport and quite frankly seems boring!
      Also we’re not beach people!
      If you like to get out and about El Cangrejo is the most walkable neighborhood in the city… with tons of stuff to do! Not to mention it’s pretty central to all of Panama City 🙋🏾‍♂️
      Hope this answers your questions. #WeAllNeedSomeHelp

      Thanks again! Cheers!

    Hello, I heard yall mention you were part of a church plant in Atlanta. What is the church fellowship like there? Is there a small group fellowship or a relatable church?

    • @glennandsheribrooksjr
      @glennandsheribrooksjr  6 місяців тому +2

      @@glover5589 to be completely transparent we have not found a relatable fellowship since we’ve been here. Definitely something we’re looking for! Who knows we may have to start it ourselves. Pray for us 🙏🏾#WeAllNeedSomeHelp

    • @glover5589
      @glover5589 6 місяців тому +2

      Yeah that's what I was thinking may happen when we come down there that we may have to start an in-home small group Fellowship. Not in the traditional sense of a church building and things of that nature. But more in lines with the early church and how they Fellowship in small groups from home to home.

    Example of things not functioning the same even between States in the US. We moved from NY to SC. When you buy a house in NY you can count on the house having all appliances. Washer, Dryer, Refrigerator, dishwasher, etc.
    Well, in SC people can take their appliances with them. And we made the mistake of telling the agent "In NY people leave their appliances and in NY this and in NY that." I think she got tired and said to us "well, you are not in NY anymore". That was a wake up call right there. If you can't expect things to be the same even from state to state in the US, so why would you expect things to be the same as in the US in a different country??
    Culture change: In SC everyone has a gun or a weapon of some type so one has to be careful who you flip the finger to. Not the case in NY.
