Brad's wearing his Gi when he ask sticky for painkillers which is why i think he goes to visit him after Buzzo makes a stop by Brad's dojo. Not after Rick says his life is awesome. Seems kinda weird he would be triggered from Rick, think "oh i gotta stop by my house and change out of this Hawaiian shirt and tank top into my instructors Gi before i see Sticky".
For sure, man. I didn't intend for the conclusion to be that IMMEDIATELY after Rick's he went to Sticky. I wanted to leave some open space around it which is why I worded it as "Sticky was the next one to see their friend..." as in the the next one out of the three. I honestly like and don't like talking about the past of the characters since it's pretty vague when things take place. I like it cause it's pretty freeing and I can kind of creatively talk about stuff, but at the same time, it can really upset some people. I've received quite a few comments from people asking me to "stop making stuff up." Idk. It's a mixed bag. Thanks for watching once again, man! I really appreciate it! :)

Didn't mean to sound like a wet blanket. Glad you posted the stuff about pointless. It does look pretty cool you gotta admit. I won't lie and say its easy. But if you know RPG mechanics and the lisa universe's items it's not that bad. And it is, in fact, THE most fun combat I've had playing a turned based RPG in a very long time. Many people say that Lisa borrows from "children of men" and "last of us", but many of those stories aim too much for realism and are more theme driven (Lisa is more character driven) I think LISA was inspired more by "a boy and his dog" of harlan ellison and obviously "hokuto no ken"; the similarities are many: -barren wasteland -sexual violence implied -dark humor -alot of crazy shit -martial arts -olathians having crazy powers withouth much explanation
@@loscopihues2343 i think its a concept from real life drugs since brad is shown using a painkiller before he started using joy, there's only one difference between pain killers and joy

"Sharing" buddy wouldn't have saved the world because by the are so stacked against repopulating a wasteland with one girl. Even if she didn't miscarry, die from childbirth, and birthed another girl, the time it would take would have every other character too old or who knows what else with like 20-30 kids at most. The last group of kids would be stuck with either incest or extinction which to me doesn't have much dignity Brad wasn't the best dad, but he knew Buddy would have been taken advantage of no matter how good the intentions are and tried his best to prevent that. Ricky and Sticky should have just tried giving Buddy her own space to be free from all the perverts and crazies of Olathe to give her the best chance of a happy life "She's just a kid..."
What I find so hilarious is that Brad was responsible for kidnapping that missing man. If Brad never brought that man to his home that gang would've never discovered Buddy. Brad is his own worst enemy.
I can ignore that the world just randomly ended,I can ignore the fact that Brad was not acting rational in sharing buddy, I can ignore that a baby just appeared out of no where with no sign of a woman, but I can't ignore that Brad just killed Rick like that
My mind is fighting between whether cheeks was mortally injured while fighting off the horny men, or if he was attacked by Rick and Sticky for not agreeing with them kidnappings buddy.
Too bad we didn’t get to learn much from Cheeks in the game. We never even got to learn if that was his real name or not like we did with Tony (Sticky)
I am glad to see people watching LISA content in 2019! There's some more characters to talk about too, so there's more to come! :) Thanks so much for watching!
It is really hard to side with the people who consider Buddy as "Humanity's hope". It is scientifically impossible to save anything in this setting because of inbreeding. It is the greatest lie Buddy was told and that will enable her Messiah complex. Brad was an abuser but she has learned to survive thanks to him and wasn't sent to a camp waiting to be impregnated by people with no care for her. The trio could have tried to convince Brad over time to let Buddy some breathing room instead of backstabbing him. If only Brad wasn't such a failure.
I'm not sure there's going to be inbreeding. There's enough men for that not to happen and by the time third cousin's reemerged inbreeding wouldn't even be a risk. In fact inbreeding isn't a risk at all.
@@vaquishers but still, that's assuming Buddy survives multiple pregnancies without modern medicine. That's assuming she gives birth to girls (it's 50/50 but it's still a coin flip everytime.) That's assuming there aren't stillbirths or other complications and assuming her kids don't die from either the blighted world or some deadly sickness. Childbirth can go wrong in so many ways even now so I can't imagine it being a smooth process in Olathe. And then after she has 10 kids, let's say that they are all girls, then those girls have to get impregnated by men that would be very old at this point (and most of those men are gross scumbags.) Not impossible, but this assumption that the fate of the world is on one child (not even a women yet) is kinda of a shot in the dark anyway. And honestly, with how fucked the world is in The Painful, I'm not sure humanity is even worth saving.
I was hoping with all of your LISA videos, you could do a video on a fan game based on LISA, LISA: The Hopeful. I personally think it stays true to the games, and has a great story.
I recently played through the game and I definitely see potential. I'd like to make videos on it, but it'll be a while before I get to them! Thanks for watching!
He kinda did, he admitted to setting up buddy being kidnapped... Which lead to his and many other men's deaths. Doing this was pretty manipulative, even if he had good intentions.
I really don't know if the dev genuinely thought this was a good cause for them to follow, or if he was just showing how desperate things had gotten. There's so many factors here that complicates things. Even if Brad HAD been a good parent, or if they had all agreed to give her to Rando, Buddy is her own person. Even if she WANTED to help repopulate, you can't repopulate with just one woman and a bunch of men - that gene pool is way too small and it feels like none of them acknowledge that. Plus, I really don't think people realize how scary a situation like this is - to feel like you're obligated to repopulate an entire species just because a bunch of OTHER people, who don't have to go through the trouble of being pregnant/the last of their gender, want you to. Going back to the gene pool thing; even IF you managed to dilute it, they'd all still be related, and much closer than how everyone in the world is "technically" related. The available, unrelated men would start to die off via old age or violence, or whatever else before the gene pool could even BEGIN to be sufficiently diluted. Olathe was always doomed after The Flash, Buddy or not.
We can actually debate about that. Because looking at how big the Gene pool can get with all the man (from Rando army alone) the chance of not destroying the genes is pretty optimistic and we know for sure that Rando (or his closes man) wouldn't force Buddy into anything.
@@podroznikzpustkowi4805 Even so, there's still the likely chance that she could only bare sons, or only one child, especially without modern medicine.
@@MahouShoujo-Studios ok one thing first, there is a condition when woman can only bare Sons? And we can't really be that pessimistic, there are a lot of places on earth without pretty modern medcine. There is a chance, even if it's small it's better than nothing.
@@podroznikzpustkowi4805 There are plenty of places without modern medicine, like the middle east, and people tend to die more there, so what's your point?
The fact you know Rando is Dusty after the end of the game makes Brad look like an asshole when he rejected Sticky's offer to give her to his army. They paint Rando in Painful like a psycho warlord instead of the lovely brother he is in Joyful.
Judging by the beginning of Joyful - turns out, even with very careful planning and consideration, things would still go awry, considering what Dale did. Things would not unfortunately not go smoothly with Rando, but it was perhaps their best chance.
This video re-reminded me of my first playthrough of this game, I didn't even really realize that Brad's actions and motivations were questionable at best. Well not until the very end when Brad asks if he did the right thing. And thinking about that question just really blew my mind. The storytelling in this game is just amazing.
I swear the only 100% definitively good characters in this game are only that way because they don't live long enough to do something to make us question them.
A very cool one indeed, really shows how brutal and real Olathe can get. When you murder your old friends just for your own desires. I've also been visiting your streams once in a while but since it's not my cup of tea, i have anticipated this video for a bit now and i'm definietly not disappointed. Keep it up. Hey squatch, this may not be Lisa related, but here's a game recommendation to do videos on The Darkest Dungeon Be careful though, the game can be very difficult, but the atmosphere is awesome along with the narrations.
I have it and yes, it is fairly difficult but not in a trial and error way, but rather a game about managing many things such as health stress and items (space) but a game he might like more is the binding of Isaac as there are a good amount of videos he could make from it ( it has important characters, transformations, items, bosses, and references
Haha. There's a lot of games I could do videos on! Not sure if I'll ever get to though! Thanks for the recommendation though! I'll put it on the board!
Depends on if you believe the fan games to be true. If you do, then he meets his end in the events of LISA the Pointless. If you don't, then he probably dies in the war the covers Olathe shortly after the Painful. Thanks for watching!
i dont think they are that better than Brad, i mean they still act selfish: they MAKE buddy as a hero but like Rando never really ask whatshe really want for the world . They think they know best. People just critic Brad but can you really blame him when this world is filled with perverts and sickos ?
I think you both have a great point. I mean like, on one hand he is at least taking things as serious as he does legitimately need to but on the other hand it did lead to his daughter resenting him and overall him becoming just so much worse than his own father (and yes I know about everything that Marty had done and he is also a legitimately awful person, also I just an ocd thing, I know that I keep saying “legitimately”. I’m sorry. But anyway, the point is.... that well.....in comparison.....Brad did kill a ton of people and not even all of them being necessarily bad people.....
@@podroznikzpustkowi4805Also, the Joyful has Rando simply helping Buddy out while trying to convince her not to give in to her killing spree. And even when he can no longer deal with her bloodthirsty methods, he simply leaves

I recommend a game called Primordia, a point & click puzzle game, similar dark post apocalypse theme except all humans are extinct and you play as an amnesiac robot hermit and his quirky sidekick... If you wind up checking it out, I would use a walkthrough, some of the puzzles (especially later ones) can get a little ridiculous.
I just noticed that at 11:03, there are this characters that look suspiciously like Beltboy, Rodriguez, Cyclops and Lanks, in that order, maybe am I too paranoid?
I have a question to you I want your opinion on how you see the character Do you think Cheeks was supportive or against the plan of using Buddy for repopulation? Based on what little is given about him, what can you say on that question?
I think it depends on if cheeks was aware brad would kill half the everything to find buddy, 'cause if he knew how far he'd go and was in favor of the plan, then he'd probably have tried to misdirect Brad to buy some time.
A intresting Fact that Brad's friends was originally going to be Party members This was Hinted in the Old trailers and The kick starter Demo,Left over Files that References brad's friends and also Interesting thing you missed out that If you let columbo Take Terry Cheek's body mysteriously for Strange Reason Either if its a Mistake Or Cheeks really Faked His death and that the Terry taken by Columbo is really canon.
@@jesusvilla5907 from what I understand and have seen he's just talking about Rick, Sticky and Cheeks originally going to be party members you could have in the game and there are leftover files in the game itself
Yeah, I've seen the old trailers, so I know what you're saying about them being his party initially. It definitely changed though. Idk about the Cheeks faking his death. It's more likely just a glitch in the game engine. If you go into the hut and come back out, he turns his head back around too.
Wait... If Rick survived just in time to save Sticky... And yet only sticky showed up to stop Brad... Does that mean there is still a Mangled Rick alive somewhere after all that?
Even though everything is brutal and cruel, this is the one thing that everyone is respectful with. Everyone lines up and waits their turn during battle to as to not let things get too crazy.

Ive played this game 5 times now and I still never relished that sticky shows up when the rando army shows up to take down the joy boys and brad is passing out.
Apparently Sticky, Cheeks and Rick were going to be party members, but I suppose that not everything goes to plan. Just like how Cheeks was killed at the beginning by unknown forces, Rick from either being burnt to death alongside Sticky, or being spared just to die soon after, and Sticky being either brutally burnt to death next to Rick, or from being spared so that he could try to stop the one he thought was his best friend near the end of it all. Just because you are the protagonist doesn't mean you're necessarily the "good" guy. At least, not without friends to help you along the way. Brad forgot about this.

But would you cover Lisa the Hopeful since that's a full fledge game and that it has little to do with any of characters that was in Painful and Joyful?
Yeah, I'll most likely do LISA the Hopeful once I've done the main characters of the Mainline LISA games unless something comes up! Thanks for watching!

what do you think what was the white flash? that's still an unanswered mystery of the game; here's my theory: -We know is not nuclear or else the men would also have been affected and there's no such a thing as a "gender only bomb" -Is not a disease because we never see any mass graves or corpes of the women. (bodies just not dissapear) -Buzzo kinda implies that there's still women out there -Yado was the creator of joy that's clear but, what is not so clear, if he is the one caused the white flash. If he did, then it doesn't make much sense because if you had a weapon like that, that could break reality in such a way, then why not have a joy mutant world inmediately come to existence?, instead of having to do all this convulated stuff about women, buddy, etc. -So we kinda know that yado doesn't have control of whatever caused the white flash --Yado and buzzo knew it was coming -maybe is a macabre simulation, that only plays in olathe? What do you make of it?
Los copihues given how some people like Brad can have supernatural powers, I’m sure there is far more powerful people and things out there. I personally always liked the idea of the flash being some outside force of nature that so happened to come along. Sheer unluckiness is always a great way to start suffering.
I personally don't think the White Flash can be explained. You've already outlined the reasons why it couldn't happen, but additionally, since it wasn't the focus of the story, there's not really enough information out there to really make a solid case for it. I also think that it doesn't necessarily *need* to be explained to enjoy the story. It's just meant as a backdrop for the world and the game wants you to focus on the people that have to live in this wasteland which is why it tells the story is does. With all that said, my next video will be a speculation on what could have caused the White Flash. It'll be a lot different since it's pretty much all theorizing and whatnot, but hopefully it'll be enjoyable nonetheless! Thanks for watching, man! :)
Yeah, Brad was fucked up, abusive and did a ton of things wrong in Buddies upbringing, but he tried his best. He actually thought, he had Buddies wellbeing in mind (most of the time), but as the two times he says "She's my second chance" make clear, he actually wanted to redeem himself, to himself. He fucked up, he never got the chance to get therapy, his friends weren't able to confront him about it, because of many reasons and so it ended in a tragedy. But at least he tried to "help" Buddy. The only other person that could be said about was Dusty, but he fucked up too, by repeating Brads mistakes (just not the Drugs) in treating Buddy like something that must be locked away from the world. Buddy was killing people who tried to just live in peace by that point, so I can understand why Dusty was unnerved by that, but still, he also didn't treat her right. But how should he have known how to? All he knew was abuse by other children and a distant father figure that abandoned him. Brad and Dusty were the only people in Buddys life, that tried to do what's best for her until their end, they just failed. This is why I respect them more than Rick, Sticky and Cheeks. They only supported Brads actions because they feared him and feared losing him as their protector. They grew over time, but only in the sense, that they finally stood up for themselves, they still treated Brad like shit out of anger, fear and greed (although the latter emotion was only a minor motivator). They only saw Buddy as a means to an end, no matter how nice they acted towards her. Not ONCE did they consider what Buddy wanted. Brad and Rando failed in that regard too though, so there is no morally good person acting in all of this story. Nobody is "right", one can just try to decide, who is "the least wrong" and for me, that is Dusty. Brad and Buddy come shortly after, but both of them went on a murderous rampage across the land and never stopped, so they lose a lot of points because of that. Anyway, rant over. Dusty good boy. Brad sad dad. Buddy broken child. Cheeks, Sticky and Rick unreflected asshole uncles. I rest my case. Good night.
Heavily implied that it was a gene bomb of some sort since it only destroyed the female population. also, do we know if it affected the entire world? Buzzo does mention "the ladies" meaning that there probably were some surviving women or something.

I honestly like and don't like talking about the past of the characters since it's pretty vague when things take place. I like it cause it's pretty freeing and I can kind of creatively talk about stuff, but at the same time, it can really upset some people. Many people say that Lisa borrows from "children of men" and "last of us", but many of those stories aim too much for realism and are more theme driven (Lisa is more character driven) I think LISA was inspired more by "a boy and his dog" of harlan ellison and obviously "hokuto no ken"; the similarities are many:
-barren wasteland
-sexual violence implied
-dark humor
-alot of crazy shit
-martial arts
-olathians having crazy powers withouth much explanation

@@crummycreator5548 I think that was the underlying message in the game, Olathe wasn't meant to be saved...

Rando did nothing wrong
So noone did nothing wrong? all were just misguided by their visions and demons?
He kinda did, he admitted to setting up buddy being kidnapped... Which lead to his and many other men's deaths. Doing this was pretty manipulative, even if he had good intentions.
@@ryandobbs9270 Yeah...but at least he had a kinda good intention-
@@raf6213 either way he manipulated her and risked the lives of his friends to do it. Which lead to all of them dying. I don't think it was worth it.
Don't you remember the body truck
True dat

I don't think Rick, Cheeks, or Sticky knew that Brad had a sister in the first place.
The fact you know Rando is Dusty after the end of the game makes Brad look like an asshole when he rejected Sticky's offer to give her to his army. They paint Rando in Painful like a psycho warlord instead of the lovely brother he is in Joyful.
Maybe Brad didn't know rando is dusty because he never said something about it
Brad didn't know Rando's identity, besides, Rando doesn't control his men completely, which could end poorly for Buddy.
@@mikelarsson7838"master,we don't have to do this"

Judging by the beginning of Joyful - turns out, even with very careful planning and consideration, things would still go awry, considering what Dale did. Things would not unfortunately not go smoothly with Rando, but it was perhaps their best chance.
This video re-reminded me of my first playthrough of this game, I didn't even really realize that Brad's actions and motivations were questionable at best. Well not until the very end when Brad asks if he did the right thing. And thinking about that question just really blew my mind.
The storytelling in this game is just amazing.

The flash was just a gender reveal partu
what do you think what was the white flash? that's still an unanswered mystery of the game; here's my theory:
-We know is not nuclear or else the men would also have been affected and there's no such a thing as a "gender only bomb"
-Is not a disease because we never see any mass graves or corpes of the women. (bodies just not dissapear)
-Buzzo kinda implies that there's still women out there
-Yado was the creator of joy that's clear but, what is not so clear, if he is the one caused the white flash.
If he did, then it doesn't make much sense because if you had a weapon like that, that could break reality in such a way, then why not have a joy mutant world inmediately come to existence?, instead of having to do all this convulated stuff about women, buddy, etc.
-So we kinda know that yado doesn't have control of whatever caused the white flash
--Yado and buzzo knew it was coming
-maybe is a macabre simulation, that only plays in olathe?

Good night.
Now the "Flash" was ever explained? Or my memory is that bad?
Eric Quiabazza I don't think so
Nope! The next video is going to be some speculation on what could have caused it, but that's all it is: speculation.
Thanks for watching! :)
Heavily implied that it was a gene bomb of some sort since it only destroyed the female population. also, do we know if it affected the entire world? Buzzo does mention "the ladies" meaning that there probably were some surviving women or something.
How the f did brad friends knew of dusty did they visit the dojo and there isn't any clue dusty knows them, and on top of that they told buddy brad is dusty father did they know what happened to him ? So many questions
So yall just telling me that after 10+ years with no women everybody didn't turn gay? Aight.
Would you turn gay for greasy old perverts and murderers with terrible breath and an afixation for rape and cannibalism? (remember what domestic jerky truly is)
@@lorddervish212quinterosara6 I mean it would honestly just be a question of time if Lisa never appeared
@@basedhomuraakemienjoyer9014 *Buddy
There's literally a place in the game where there's a bunch of crossdressing male prostitutes. Brad can even work there for a bit
New Lisa video: *exist*
Me: Ah shit, here we go again
Hope you enjoyed! :)
Great video but you should say about how sticki show buddy what it means to be a girl, and how they sacrifice for the a noble scop, for the greater good of humanity
Is "tricky Rick" the same person as Rick in painful? They have the same name and their heads /faces are VERY similar
They aren't the same person but Rick is clearly based on it, lol.
Rick really has a similar face to rick from the first
I LOVE THESE MAN, KEEP IT UP FAM!!!
There's definitely more to come! :)
Thanks so much for watching!
lisa :im dieing today bye world
me:nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo >:0
i wana see more
Why is everyone choosing brad's last and not the possesions
I got a question you know the Greek blank or whatever it's called because all the women disappear and I think plant life to die what cause that was it someone or something Fang
I'm assuming you're asking about the Flash? The Flash affected a lot of the aspects of Olathe which led to the ruinous state we see it in.
Thanks for watching!
@@SquatchGamingChannel I did actually speak to you the respond I do leave comments to people but they don't really respond that much so thank you for responding and I'll keep watching thank you
How do they fire balls is Lisa based on real life
Have a sub
You deserve it B)
This Richard was the same in Lisa The First ( in the first, he goes by Richard and is a symbolism of the m*lestation that happened to Lisa. His head is shaped like a male genital, and he says lines like
“ I like to explore caves “
“ I’m a sensitive guy”
“ I like friction”
“ swalllow me whole “
“ there’s no escaping me. You must swallow me “
And even sl*t shaming with
“You filthy b*tch “
I find it odd it’s not mentioned, and curious what the ties are and why they used him as the personification in Lisa the First. 🤔 ( also , the common nickname for Richard is Dick. It’s kinda ironic that’s what his head is shaped to be and those lines in the first Lisa game. )
Just whant to dismiss the theory that yodo was on joy
If he was then how did he feel anger as his plan was ruined and he wouldnt have feel anything for buddy. Also were as he did follow his most wanted thing he on numeres accounts put what he wanted away to the side to save buddy
I don't think Yado was ever on Joy. He developed the vaccine cause he's paranoid, not so he could sample his drug. That's my thinking anyways.
Thanks for watching! :)
@@SquatchGamingChannel yes but yescomewithme on your yodo video had a theory that yodo didn't believe in himself and so made the joy vaccination so that he could follow what he wants most and then take it to avoid turning into a mutant
Well, the idea was that Yado didn't want to become a mutant, whether it be to his own weakness or someone else forcing the drug into him. The reason I put that in there is because in a fan purposed that idea to the developer and he just made it canon. There should be a comment train on that video where that fan talks about that interaction!
@@SquatchGamingChannel good idea
Also on a side note you are totally stalking me
I get hotline have a blast and next thing I know your doing videos on it then I play the second one and love it and now after watching nitro rad I get hooked on these game and am trying to find out as much as I can about it and bam you start on this game :)
Lol. It was just mean to be, I guess!
I'll have several more videos to do on LISA so chances are I won't have moved on by the time you pick your next game! :)
A lot of people complaining about TLoU2 and Joel's death should really play this game. Brad in many ways is Joel. But while Joel got to die a hero in TLoU2, Brad ended up surviving to become the kind of villain Joel would have been.
#Cheeksdidnothingwrong
Sorry to bother you but you would make a great narrator.
No bother at all! Thanks for the compliment! :)
And thanks for watching!
@@SquatchGamingChannel And thank you for keeping this great game alive!
And yet more stuff I didn't know about lisa. Yeah never really spent much time with these characters that, mostly because we were on our own in this game. Dose make me wonder what ever did happen to rick if you spared both him and sticky.
