I love that some (many) of you don't dig the style of this watch. Firstly because I'm a contrary git and secondly because the low (compared to SEIKO) demand is keeping prices of some of these more wacky pieces affordable.
I love it pal! Just bought it in the UK for £280!! I like presence on my wrist and I like the Pepsi design inside the case. Also I dig the small face around the large casing. Great video though!!
Again amazed that technical folks can design and manufacture a watch with a date which requires an electron microscope to view. Either leave the date off, make a bigger window or magnify. Personally I don't mind cyclops as long as it does the job. I understand a cyclops could open a whole new can of worms, but it just doesn't bother me. Sadly, Citizen is not the only company adding small date windows. Obviously my observations are IMHO and wish to thank you for the upload. Good day/evening to all.
I returned the Citizen titanium GMT you reviewed - and both of these models share the deep ‘stadium’ dial which in theory should be awesome, but the chapter and bezel are too tall to keep the overall height in line. I had considered putting the blue+green on a silicon band to reduce the weight, but given the thickness and your comments on bezel quality - you saved me a lot of time in not buying it. Maybe we’ll see a slimmer unit with these large indices that are so unique to Citizen divers and an alternative to Seikos. Keep up the good work!
I too returned the titanium version for the same reason. The SS model appears to have a different bevel angle on the chapter ring that gives a better "stadium effect" than the titanium instead of the dial looking like it was dropped on a hole. I have this model in the grn / blue version on order.
I have 8 Citizen watches, and like you, I like most of them. Definitely would take the titanium version of this watch over this SS one. Thanks for a useful and honest review!
I prefer heavier watches as long as the bracelet balances it out. I'm really liking the bracelet on that watch. Recommendation to Citizen for this model/series: 1) Make that doggone bezel low profile. 2) Get rid of the date. 3) Offer an automatic movement. Surprisingly, I like all the color combinations you showed. Love that clasp. It's more user friendly than the ones on Rolex's. Agreed, that extension is not sufficient for a wetsuit. I have a couple watches with that type of clasp and love them. They are really just a more efficient way of doing micro adjustments. I don't know about you but, my wrist size changes throughout the day. With that clasp I just squeeze the side pushers and adjust to my wrist. How many can and/or like taking their watch off and messing with those pin holes 😂 I'll have to check out that video you mentioned about GMT use. I have around 12-15 GMT's and have them set one of 2 ways: 1) I live in the West and the majority of the people I work with/for are on the East coast. The watches I wear to work have the GMT hand set to the East coast. 2) I really like military time so, I have the ones I don't wear to work with the GMT hand set as a 24-hour time. Anyway, keep the informative reviews coming.
The bezel and crown are not plastic. I’d be good with a plastic bezel though I think. I trust my life with a plastic pistol on a daily basis...well polymer.
If they would've made this a little bit smaller like a 40mm or 41mm and lower the lug span to around 47mm and the thickness a little bit then this watch would be an instant buy.
Ouch, this could be a really cool watch with some Monster-like vibes but they’ve bungled so many of the details. Pretty nice that the seconds hands hit right on their mark, though. Yea, I’m grasping at straws now....
Thanks for the review! I did an unboxing and first impressions video a little while ago and will be putting out a full review video on my channel soon. We definitely share some similar thoughts on this watch.
Date window way too small, bezel too wide / chunky, index markers too chunky, dial too small in diameter because of too chunky bezel. Who the heck is responsible for THIS "design"?

I love this watch. I’ve been wearing it at least twice a week. All the things I hated about it are all but gone now.

You're very welcome and I couldn't agree more with your observations about this watch :)
Brushed is more scratch resistant.
It looks nice solar and sapphire. For the money you cant go wrong.

Small date window is nothing new on Citizen. They do seem to be able to get their chapter rings and bezels lined up better than Seiko.

I think the watch was a perfect weight
Man your quick , just received the email notification from Citizen of this new one this Morning . 🏁
I have 2 of these...great watches for the money...when you want to wear a cool watch that youre not worried about..this is it!!
Citizen has great watches for the money!!
I love this watch !
Sapphire Crystal makes it a great value
Has Citizen ever released a watch in which the date window isn't a waste? I wish they'd either make it bigger or remove it.
WONDERFUL WATCH CITIZEN. 😍😍😍
This or the citizen bj7111...I'll go with the bj7111 it just looks better.
The bezel and crown are not plastic. I’d be good with a plastic bezel though I think. I trust my life with a plastic pistol on a daily basis...well polymer.
Thanks, I was wondering because they felt cheap. And Glocks are great guns!
Is the got hand independent? Or is it a true GMT?

Way too small for a professional dive watch.
The GMT feature appears to be garbage/junk and inoperative as many others mention....back to the drawing board. Bracelet is useful for me.

Yeah a swing and a miss for sure on this one.

I just bought this watch today for $230 USD.
Where?
@@ramug8540 TJ Maxx
Why always you wear the watch little time? Like a 3 secs...
perfect 4th of july watch
Bezel and crown make it look cheap regardless of material used, unfortunately.
So we finally get sapphire, but the trade off was a plastic bezel and plastic crown? Yikes.
Yeah it's not plastic and it seems to be IP coated aluminium. Feels REALLY cheap though.
awe.....poor little bit smaller guys. Need to go to the gym so they can lift that watch. Think about this, if the Japanese can wear it, you can too!!
cybrscot yeah not for the lady wristed betas out there
I don’t mind big heavy watches, if there done right, this isn’t one of those watches that is done right.
I find the dial way to busy with markings....hurts my eyes.
Agree with you. I think it’s ugly, maybe Citizen inadvertently hired an Invicta designer. LOL
It would be WAAAY uglier if it was an InSHITca :)
This is not a GMT but just dual time watch. because the red hand does not indicate Greenwich Mean Time at all.
I'm sorry to judge but it is a very ugly watch, and as an intensely ugly man (inside and out) I know what I'm talking about.
We need to get you a therapy animal.
Can the gay metal bracelet be changed for silicone? What mm?
22 mm
What the fuck makes it gay? Are you nine years old?
@@bradleymulick He sounds like a dumbass! Might be a closet case!
I like Citizen watches over Seiko, but i have to say they missed the mark on this one. It is ugly!
